I'm a bit sad, that we still don't have gate signals to deal with such kind of things... but it's still fun to use the new counters.
Find a demo patch in the code section. Pease click "select all" > Press "Copy" (Strg-C) > Go to MSF > Open Toolbar > Klick "Paste" Button.
The Patch is a little Arp Sequence with odd number of notes.
Along this ARP Sequence runs a per Voice Modulator LFO, LFO1 and LFO2
Both run in Steps Mode with 8 Steps.
The Frequency of the LFOs is the lowest possible value, almost zero and the Phase of the LFO is controlled by a "Counter 8", i.e. an even number.
What does all that mean?
A near zero frequency means that the LFO almost remains at the same place once a note is coming in. And the "place" where it "remains" is determined by the Phase. And the Phase is modulated by Counter 8.
If you like then load the patch. Open LFO 1 and press a for instance low C note. You can see the Phase indicator jump to the next step when an note is coming in. When there's a note missing in the ARP Sequence (3 out of 16 are missing) then the LFO phase indicator line stops for a little while. Because the ARP pattern is odd and the counter is even, every round sounds slightly different.
Anyway, just a little nerdy demo for you guys. Not a special sound but a fun evening exercise
