Hey everyone!
This is my first Melda focused video of many. In this one, I'm going over a device I've created for MSF called MSubLab. It's a subbass / 808 device that is similar to FAW - SubLab, but much better IMHO because Melda plugins are nuts lol.
I hope you guys enjoy using it! I'll be doing updates to it based on the feedback I get from you all here! So lay it out, good or bad, exactly how you feel about it!
I also have an even crazier version in the works called MSubLab X lol. I've cloned a few other plugins like XLN Audio - RC-20 which should be available within the next day or so. There are a few original devices that'll be coming out soon as well!
!! Important !! I made all of my devices on V13 so if there are any issues with the GUI, please let me know! I will be updating soon hopefully and will get to them ASAP!

Once the bugs get worked out, I'll try to get this added to the factory instruments!

============== Updates ==============
V1.0.1 Changes
- Cleaned up MP settings that were unnecessary
- Changed pitch envelope behavior to start from 0 instead of -48 because...
- Pitch envelope can now be set to start from a negative value (saw a YouTuber using this technique and thought.. why not?) This highlighted a huge problem..
- At any value above 0% the "Keytracking" slider, which has been renamed to "Key Scale", was detuning the synth.. That is now fixed. Sorry about that, I should have noticed sooner
===============================================
V1.0.2 Changes
- Cosmetic changes because of transfer from V13 - 14
===============================================
MSubLab V1.1.0
- Added "Digital" mode to distortion section which swaps the "Amp" and "Destroy" sections in the distortion module. All MPs related reflect the change as well. I personally prefer the "Digital" option for messing with the 808 character
- Complete rework of "Sampler" section. It now uses "visibility" to swap, in place, between MPs related to either "Synth" or "Sampler" toggle.
This allows for proper values to be displayed in both modes and the ability to retain values when switching between both modes.
- Behavior of background MPs changed. "Randomize" button should produce "kicky" sounds more often
- Added Resonance and Slope to output filters
- Fixed a voicing problem that sometimes allowed for 2 voices to be played at once
- Small GUI changes

It would be great, if ADSR could be controlled per source. But maybe I'll know more once watched the vid
One big thing I was trying to avoid is overcomplicating the interface because there's a bigger brother / rabbit hole version of this one lol. It has tons more settings available for folks who really want to dive in. I wanted to make sure this one is approachable to everyone, especially people who are already used to FAW - SubLab.
But thx for the input! Really appreciate it
Edit: Actuallllyy, I'll update it with the envelopes and reupload tonight

In the meantime I've checked a presentation vid of the original SubLab and you really nailed it. It looks like a 100% copy with some extras.
Also a well done video! Can't wait for more stuff from you.
Btw - have you considered this?

The adding sample banks part? Yup, I'll definitely add a sample bank but it was my impression that to get it working properly, I'd need to export the device. So I just wanted to save that part until I'm going to export it properly.Tyrs wrote: Tue Nov 17, 2020 9:44 pmShow me the entrance to the rabbit hole HorusHorusAnd wrote: Tue Nov 17, 2020 6:36 pm One big thing I was trying to avoid is overcomplicating the interface because there's a bigger brother / rabbit hole version of this one lol. Also, on the envelopes. I haven't, yet, found a good way to add individual ones. It's easy for the X-Sub but not for the sampler section because of how the global envelope effects the sampler module's triggring. I'm still looking into it, but I need to figure out a way to do it where the behavior makes sense.
If you get a chance, check out my new video / device for MXXX

Thx for all the positive vibes everyone! I'm trying to clean up some background stuff and add a couple sample banks and then I should have an updated, hopefully ready for the factory library, device soon!

Hi Horus,
like your presets very much.
Can you take a look at the new Waves CLA Epic (Delay, Reverb). Like the workflow and flexibility of the routing inside one plugin. Would like to do this inside mxxx, but don´t know how. If you have time and interest in such a tool, would be great to build something like that. Inside MXXX we could have much more possiblities soundwise.
Thanks and greets,
Marek

When're they gonna stop making CLA plugins!? lol
But yeah, this is definitely doable. I'll actually try and get a rough preset started tomorrow.
I needed something to take my mind off of the wavetables anyway :p
