As there's been a bit of a lo-fi Hip Hop buzz here of late I thought I'd give it a go: https://soundcloud.com/kongru/goodbye

Well, you definitely captured the sound. So kudos there.
My beefs
1. That snare is really harsh. Could probably use some EQ to take off some of the edge.
2. Could use a little more development. Even as a lo-fi hip hop piece goes, this is pretty static. Sounds like a 5 second loop played over and over with few exceptions.

Appreciate the feedback, I usually make Drum and Bass which is probably why the snare is a bit too harsh and aggressive.
I wasn't sure how repetitive to make it as a lot of the stuff on ChilledCow's playlist is pretty repetitive but I'll try changing it up a bit.
Thanks for the advice

Since the other part is looped, I agree that adding variation to the percussion is critical. I also would love to hear a few other elements come in. Lots of room you have here to play with.
The edits on the background loop work well, and could have used more (I assume you used something like Sugarbytes or Glitchbitch for that).
