I fixed this bug, thank you.

At the moment 'Absolute Note' extraction works for phrases with absolute notes. So you would like to use it for any phrases. I'll see how to fix this easily.

shift click to un-solo tracks at once also does cancel the mutes

Really? That works for me. Typing and arrows work equally well...
Will you check if the master track tempo (same UI gadget) works if you type in a number:

man! i was typing the note names as i see in the screen with (-) like D-4
seems must typed without the (-) or just entering the note number was OK.. really sorry!!

I see. Remember that there is C minus 1 (C-1). So D-4 would be a very low pitch...

Please make the same zoom feature on the vertical scroll bar as on the horizontal scroll bar (with magnifying glass)). My second hand is always busy to press CTRL))). Thank you!

to me nothing serious but might points some important things behind..

i just open one of my earlier project
there was envelope icons in the tracks but they are not functional
if i remove the Extract Notes Variation they get deleted.
also adding the variation in a new project doesn't add this dead icons..
somehow seems relevant to the old projects?

Yes, I confirm it works on macOS. E.g. open the phrase browser, locate a folder which has sub-folders, e.g. Extra Phrases, then click on '>' : all sub-folders are open. Then click again '>' (next to Extra Phrases) then all sub-folders are closed. It also works when Extra Phrases is not expanded...

Yes, I think something was loaded from those old projects that works slightly differently now. Indeed nothing serious.

In settings, new composition, click "start with empty master track", 12 bars

your default key should be C major and the new composition master track should be 12 bars of "I" chords. Now, click the scale on the master track and set this to A Major. What do you get? Mine fills with #II..
