modifying a melody

So, I've used melody generator to create a melody for the first half of a chorus (4 bars). I modified what was generated to suit my needs. Now I would like to use RapidComposer to generate variations based on the first half of the chorus to get ideas for the second half. Can this be done? It seems that once I manually modify a generated phrase it is no longer a generated phrase, and can't be regenerated, if that makes sense.

Yes, unfortunately this is the case. Once you modify the notes, they cannot be generated anymore. I'll think how this could work.
I have a melody editor idea that will let you edit melodies easily. I hope I can add that soon.
