Submix in Submix possible?

Just installed the latested Tracktion 6 Beta and started to mix a song with a full microphoned drum set.
2 Mics for the bass-drum and 2 for the snare.

I've created a submix for the complete drumset but i want also create bus tracks for the following groups within this Submix:
Bass-Drum, Snare, Toms

Structure should be like this:
- Drum-Submix
- BD-Submix
- BD-In Track
- BD-Out Track
- Snare-Submix
- Snare-Top Track
- Snare-Bottom Track
-Tom-Submix
-...all Tom tracks
-HH-Track
-Crash-Track
-Room-Track
-...

Currently it looks like Submix in Submix is not possible.
Edit:
All the Submix-Tracks within the top Drum-Submix will not be used as a submix.
This means the audio from the BD-In and -Out Track should be routed to the BD-Submix and then this Submix to the Drum-Submix.
But its not working like this. Both BD Tracks will currently be routed directly to the Drum-Submix. The BD-Submix is bypassed although both BD-Tracks are grouped under this submix.
There is no option to change the destination track of these both BD-Tracks but there is a comment that this is not possible because these tracks are in a Submix.

How can i create such a structure or a structure with a similiar function in Tracktion 6?

A submix within a submix should be possible but they have to be in a hierarchy. If you want other routing you can always set the track destination to another track, use the aux send/receive plugins or a rack.

The only possible caveat is that due to the hierarchical nature of a submix you can set the track destination to another track if it is part of a submix (as otherwise it wouldn't be part of the submix and have it's output routed through the submix track).

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the answer!
Damn, i forgot the problem at my description.

All the Submix-Tracks within the top Drum-Submix will not be used as a submix.

Are you sure they are set up as a submix and not a folder track?
I just tried an example of what I think you are describing but it's difficult to tell without a screenshot. Perhaps you can upload one?

Essentially if you have this:

Drum (submix track)
BD (submix track)
BD-In (audio track)
BD-Out (audio track)

Then "BD-In" & "BD-Out" will pass through "BD"s plugin chain then that output will pass through "Drum"s plugin chain.
Is this not what you are seeing?

Here is a screenshot of a quick example.
As you can see Track 1+2 are in Submix BD-MIX and this is in DRUM-MIX but the signal is not going through BD-MIX but direct to DRUM-MIX.
(Clipping does not matter, just a quick example ;-))

Think of a submix as a master fader compared to other DAW's. Ounce you make a submix track you are basicly saying this is your final output for all the tracks in that submix folder before outputting the Tracktion master fader section. I have found a way around this problem by using tracks and folder tracks. (example) Make a folder track to replace each submix track. Put all the tracks that you have in your submix tracks in your new folder tracks you created. Now make a extra folder track an call submix folder or whatever works for you, but this will be your submix folder in reality. an add as many regular audio tracks as you have folder tracks name each track sub- and the name the of each folder track you created. Now one folder at a time go to each folder track select all the tracks in the folder(hold shift while using mouse) and make the output of all the tracks in each folder to the track with the same name of the sub- tracks you created in your sub mix folder, an wala you got your sub. I cover this topic in this video I also have some template you can dowload at http://layitproductions.com/

Tip: delete the VCA filter on your folder an replace it with a text plugin and copy and paste the name of each folder track to the text plugin for each folder track, delecting the VCA filter also some how open up your mix give it a shot :tu:

I've just tried this with two tracks in a submix and this submix within another submix. The lower level submix is ignored. Its volume setting makes no difference at all.
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

That is why I use the rerouting of tracks and folders method mentioned above give it a try :tu:

I certainly will, thank you, though I think the fact it doesn't work is a bug/oversight, so it'll need fixing.

Indeed, lay it prodctions, thats the way how one could structure it already in the old releases.
I hoped the submix-feature would make this obsolete.

By the new "Tagging" feature for Tracks its also possible to skip the folder track in this workflow, just as an idea.

Anyhow, i guess the described behaviour is a bug or at least inconsistent, i hope the tracktion team will fix it.

When I first seen the submix tracks I thought the something it seemed to be a plus over the folder track because u can use plugins on the sub but then once you realize the defect in routing to another track. To me the submix track then became obsolete. :tu:

This thread appeared at the most opportune time, as I've just encountered the same/similar issue. I have a single submix which is then routed to a separate track for further processing. By doing this, all processing directly on the submix is ignored. The volume and pan become useless, and any VSTs on the submix track are ignored. They become active again only if I route the submix to the default/master output. I was able to easily replicate the issue by toggling between the track bus and the master bus. Audio is still passed to the subsequent track bus, but with all submix processing disabled. To me this sounds like a bug and should not require some of the convoluted workarounds suggested above. I am going to bring this up in the bug report thread as well.

I wish it could be fix it would save me time and tracks
