Because you have all the different ways to setup your mixer view.

If that's all, that's incredibly misleading.

I presume because all the elements that make it up are modular and can be moved around freely (in the traditional Tracktion view)

Every element of the mixer is a module - there is no fixed signal chain. You have complete freedom to build, plus the new mixer layout is completely customizable - and with racks you can route practically anything to anywhere - its fully digital modular

Speaking of modularity, how does the mixer handle Tracktion's ability to have 0, 1, 2+ volume/pan plugins in any position of the chain? Does Waveform have a single one at the end of the chain that can't be removed now so that the mixer doesn't end up looking funky?
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Just tried it. The last volume control (farthest right) is represented by the mixer fader. Any others show up in the plugins area of the mixer.pough wrote:Speaking of modularity, how does the mixer handle Tracktion's ability to have 0, 1, 2+ volume/pan plugins in any position of the chain? If you delete all vol/pans, the mixer shows NO fader for that channel. Seems really well thought out.
