Hi everyone, thanks very much to everyone for the initial feedback on the new engine in 11.1.14.
I've addressed some of the issues and released 11.1.15 public beta. If you can grab that and report any more issues I'll do my best to get to them quickly.

Code: Select all

11.1.15:
- VST3: Fixed a problem loading some VST3 plugins on Windows
- Insert Plugin: Fixed a problem where changing the "Return Device" would have no immediate effect
- UI: Added an indicator to the CPU meter to show when there is an active playback context
- Recording: Fixed a problem recording audio using an input with the source of another track

Known Issues:
- Exporting/rendering MIDI is broken when using the Experimental engine

Many thanks for your valuable work ...
I had published a post on exporting to midi. In fact, disabling the "Experimental engine" mode I have no more problems.
If you can, could you fix the bug in the Arpeggiator?

It's a very useful plugin and being able to use it all the time would be fantastic.
Thank you.

Thanks!

Fixed: ProQ3 vst3 is no longer immediately disabled - that was my main cue for vst3 issues with the beta.

Fixed but with issue: Inserts are still a bit strange. They work, however! What was strange was that things worked in the standard engine, but as soon as I enabled the hybrid one, there was no sound at all possible in my song (that includes both inserts). For fun, I then switched to realtime ... and, after a couple seconds and a few audio dropouts, it started working. I switched back to hybrid, and it continued working. So, I think it's really close.

Now that those 2 issues I had were resolved well enough, I can continue using it on a daily basis instead of the release version.

Thanks again for all the very hard work involved in modernizing the audio engine.

Thanks, we'll add that to our internal bug tracker to take a look at soon.
