Hello Аmplesound! Are you planning a complete re-recording of double bass samples? ABU lacks low deep frequencies, clarity, and softness. Maybe you can change the microphones, instrument, and strings? Take a closer look at how recording double bass Al Schmitt, what microphones and how the sound he extracted.

It's not a buzz, it's something like an cutting pick attack sound...I don´t know, but it's very disturbing to my ears... I found that leveling the pick accentuation ratio this "sound" tends to disappear but the overall sound suffers with a "mud"... Ideas and comments???

Sorry, my connection is slow as hell, I live in Cuba you can´t imagine... I made a mistake and post it here, but I cannot see it, then I try in another place to see if was a problem with the specific forum or another thing, I can´t check it until today... Delete all, and my apologies again for being annoying

I’ve just updated from 3.3 to 3.4 and found that the Upright Bass is no longer responding to my Pitch Wheel when I wish to bend a note. All was fine with 3.3. I have emailed AmpleSound with this query but wondered if anyone experienced this after the update?

Post

Thanks for your inquiry, what DAW and plugin format are you using?

StudioOne 4.6, Using AU generally but tried VST3 as well, no difference. Also opened AmpleSound’s Rectangle and found the same issue. Pitch Wheel is on my KORG Taktile49, which responds as normal on my DAW and to my other libraries. I was literally playing with the patch, working out a phrase, bending the odd note when I realised I could update my 3.3 version. Quit my DAW, updated to 3.4, opened DAW and song again and found the Pitch Wheel no longer bent notes. The Upright Bass preferences has Bend Range set at 2, same as I had when using 3.3.
I have emailed this query to Amplesound service but am now wondering if all replies will only come through this forum..?

Fixed the bend bug, please redownload ABU instrument installer. you don't need to redownload the library installer.
