These are wavetables I created using the somewhat infamous Ensoniq SQ80 waves that are up on http://www.buchty.net/ensoniq/index.html . They are a little different in that I used Fathom's -fill- function to create 16 discrete waves instead of the original 4 or 5. They can be used to scan though, as individual waves or set up like the SQ80 by mapping them across the keyboard. The lower register starts at index one and moves upward to index 16. Use the keyboard tracking modulator on the wave index dial to set that up. I hope you enjoy.

These will work on both the free mono version as well as the paid poly.

Scrubbing Monkeys has kindly sent me audio updates for the SQ80 project as his work has progressed and the results are impressive. There is an impeccable attention to detail here both in the presets and wave tables.

The SQ80 is known for its clear pristine sound, shimmering bells, thick punchy basses, and SM’s work here captures that in a way that Fathom’s original factory presets do not.

The irony is I actually worked for Ensoniq on the software development team briefly in the late 90’s. And when I first heard the SQ80 presets here, if I closed my eyes, I felt like I was playing an SQ80, not Fathom.

This is saying a lot, since I wrote the source code for Fathom, and these wave tables and presets make the synth literally sound like a different instrument.
