Well I've seen people complain around the net about that type of stuff before as I said, sometimes saying they should get discounts or coupons or whatever. The angry face makes it pretty easy to interpret your statement as a complaint, and the statement doesn't have any real purpose otherwise. And to couple with that, you are returning simply so you can get the new deal, which is also pretty easy to interpret as you believing you deserve the better deal. When you bought it, whether it was a month or a day before the deal, doesn't have anything to do with it. That's the kind of thinking I'm talking about. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯h4nc0 wrote:[You don't understand anything. I bought it because I thought the 20% discount was the only discount I will see this Black Friday. It was 5 days ago, not a month or even 2 weeks ago. I didn't say anything about being ripped off or even complain. Why are you implying that? I simply stated that I just bought it for 299USD and will ask for refund. I am a little pissed but I know I wasn't ripped off. Just a bad timing.
Black Friday special offer?

wow. whatever. and no, i don't deserve anything. If I can't get refund that is fine, but I will see if it's possible since it was just 5 days ago, and if you don't understand that, you go live your way instead of complaining about my trying.Ogopogo wrote:Well I've seen people complain around the net about that type of stuff before as I said, sometimes saying they should get discounts or coupons or whatever. I bit on the K25 Producer Pack (mainly to get BWS) shortly after it was announced (got it for $307), then a week later BWS dropped it's price and could be bought for $260-ish and now $200!
It's all good though... If it helps to get BWS in the hands of more folk then that's good for BWS and us right?
I also have a feeling the power of the 1.0 badge will balance this extreme injustice out at some point in the future and quite frankly, I enjoyed the 1.1 beta ride.

$200 is brilliant except - this product does not ship to the UK (even thought it's a download). Rats, thought I could get a bargain lolsummer2000 wrote:Musician's Friend has BWS on sale for $200

I wonder if you changed the setting on the page to the U.S. Store if it would let you purchase it anyhow.andersenuk wrote:

Normally, US merchants, like Sweetwater, GC, MF, etc., will review the orders and contact you with they are unable to fulfill the order due to outside US and territories. There are restrictions on software transactions to countries outside the US.Jazzlover wrote:I wonder if you changed the setting on the page to the U.S. Store if it would let you purchase it anyhow.andersenuk wrote:

You can try it and you may get by with although extremely unlikely. Personally I wouldn't waste my time.
Check with Uncle E or maybe Time and Space or another Euro dealer. Maybe you can get a similar offer. I am sure Uncle E will do his best to price match if he has the resources.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't think I'll risk using a US IP address in case the license is US only. It's odd because I have bought plenty of download software from US sites with no restrictions.
I was tempted with the offer from Bitwig themselves but $299 converts to 239 Euros and not 259. 259 euros is $323 so not quite the same bargain that those in the US can enjoy. I know I'm nit-picking over a few dollars but every dollar/euro/pound saved can be put towards something else....and we all like a bargain anyway.

Wow, I don't know why Ogopogo has such a bad attitude towards you. I completely understand your point, it's only natural to feel bad when you miss out on a good deal like that. I once bought a plugin, then found out there was an 80% off the next week. 80%! I was fuming, but contacted them and they gave me some credit to buy new plugins with.h4nc0 wrote:wow. whatever. and no, i don't deserve anything. Andy at Cytomic said he likes to keep his prices constant. And I can see why - it can create bad feeling when someone buys a product early, then finds out it's going for much less later on.
