I owned the Acer for about one week for Bitwig usage, but I had to return it.

There is an issue with (maybe only with my model) the touch panel in front of the display. Between the touch panel and the display there seems to be some free space and the display was fogging from the middle to the outer rim (from the backside of the touch panel) after it was on operating temperature.

The main problem with all the available touch panels is, that they are HD resolution only and the Acer is the only one on the market with WQHD.

AND, last but not least... you can ONLY use one monitor in the Bitwig touch mode, which is a pitty... but I think that has somethink to do with Windows restrictions.

Thanks for your story man. I was going to get the Acer too for a 2nd (touch)screen. But if I can't use both monitors at the same time I'll just forget it then. You probably save me a couple hundred bucks.

I've got a touch above my Nektar P6 and my keyboard and mouse under my second monitor. I go to tablet mode when I need to get my knobs, pads and faders fix on the P6.

You're welcome.

My final solution was to buy Surface 4 Pro and use it one the couch or outside and work with my normal dual screen setup in the studio.

Try the relatively new HT225 HPB from HannsG. The stand is working really well, monitor can become a bit warm at the back but thats the only thing ... touch resposiveness is very good. The nearly borderless design looks very good.

Thanks for the suggestion. I would really like to a touchscreen if both screens could work at the same time. Until then I'll wait and keep saving. Maybe one day I'll have enough to get a Surface Studio!

how many daw software out there is usable on the 3 major operating systems, windows, macOs and linux?
actually maybe 3 or 4 (bitwig included) i guess: bitwig, renoise, ardour, tracktion...?
as soon as they have online collaboration capability (for example like ohm-studio) on the run this will be a huge plus vs their competitors!

I run Bitwig on a touchscreen version Lenovo Thinkpad P50. I like it uhlot.

You can use them at the same time. The only thing you can't currently have is the tablet LAYOUT when in multi monitor setup. I can imagine this is coming.

However, even in multi monitor setup, the touch screen will function, you can adjust sliders and have the touch widget when you hold with finger.

If it's possible to zoom the multi monitor setup, then you can even scale the interface. So basically if you have your mix screen on touch screen, you can work perfectly well with it even without the tablet profile. Tablet profile is only a new layout and doesn't disable or add touch screen functionality, it's always there no matter what profile you use.

Also, in 2.0 you can pin the most important studs to the top bar so this makes using touch easier for most common functions you personally use, even when not in tablet profile.

Biggest thing you currently miss is the touch keyboard which doesn't exist outside the tablet profile.
