This came up in a pre thread but it's buried now so I want to make an FR thread for it. Basically the idea is as the title says, to be able to organize your plugs in category folders along with your bitwig devices instead of having them arbitrarily separated out. For example:

We could organize our plugs into the predefined categories that bitwig gives us or maybe we could go a step further and also have the ability to create our own folders so people could put all their comps in one folder for example.

Also I think it would really help the plus button popup in the device view if it were displayed in this format, since you could pretty easily get to all your plugs and it wouldn't be as huge as it is now. Excuse the crappy mockup here please, the idea is just that you would have the same folder structure:

The bitwigs have been working on the browser recently and are apparently going to be addressing sorting in an upcoming pre so now would be the time to have your say.

A search field following the "+" button would be extremely helpful to workflow. The cursor should also automatically go to the search field so I could press the "+" sign on the track and instantly be able to type what I'm looking for... 1176 for example as in the pic I uploaded:

+1 would be a great feature. In addition I think it would make sense the for the + to always show the expanded selection of native devices (I am hitting the "..." at least 50% of the time so for me the small menu is more of a hindrance)
