Can you give more details, such as if you bounce instrument or audio clip, and the chain FX components?

Post

It an audioclip of 1bar with 2 snares in, without FX. (This case its bounce in place in arranger so fx doesnt even matter)
Now when using compressors or whatever you always chasing your own tail.
I dont mind to check it all the time but it would be nice to see it spot on. Just as i cut and place it.

Post

Does the detected tempo change? Maybe the placement is being quantized? I've noticed the same thing on occasion. I agree, everything should be as it was placement and length-wise.

Ah wait a second.... :dog:
When cut on transient and put your for example your snare tight on quantize, and its on stretch + (HD) it occurs.
So when in RAW mode it bounces almost tight!!! :)
My workaround is now.
1: put snare in clip/arranger.
2: cut on transient and bounce.
3: Then place snare in RAW mode on the quantize spot, and bounce again. (still theres a tiny difference)

Now im sure to move the snare freely without to worry if they are placed tight,.
But then again. It should be spot on and reliable.

While were at it... Am i the only one who thinks the waveforms are a bit hard to read?
I dont want to begin an ableton live vs bitwig discussion again.

But damn those waveforms are nice in live!!! What a pleasant thing to watch at. (but i cant be friends with live somehow)

Bitwig waveforms: look like they are etched in with a pencil

ableton waveforms: look drawn in with a fine tip sharpie

I kinda prefer the latter. easier on the eyes.

Yeah I always put it in RAW mode. I wish there was a way it would default it to RAW instead of stretch.
