2.0 Beta 2 onset and stretching issue?

Perhaps I'm confused, but when I delete all the onsets, how do I get the program to re-detect them? This is from a previously saved song and it had the formerly over-zealous detection at 96kHz. I tried switching to raw and then back to stretch, but it didn't seem to help.
Also, the backgrounds for all my clips are the same color in the editor as the clips are in arranger view. The onsets are very light, seemingly in the handle, and very hard to see. And I don't seem to be able to grab them either. Grabbing just moves all the audio info. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a B2 bug?

Barely Perceptible Onset Markers, or BPOM. It's a new feature.

Have you selected "Onsets"-editing in the editor? Left next to the wave form?
Sounds like you're in the "Event"-editing mode - this is why the onsets are so light and you move the whole waveform.
There is a menu on the left side to switch between different editing modes (gain, pan, onsets, events ....)

I already added a suggestion that they tone the clip background to like a 0.5 alpha, you can then see the fades better as well, its ridiculous to have a header and body color the same, it looks like mud from a UX perspective.donkong wrote:Have you selected "Onsets"-editing in the editor? Shouldnt be color in background. This should be professional audio software and having clear view is allways to prefer off a gimmick such as colors to cover onset. I dont care what all you pokemon go player thinks about colors but i do music for a living and i just dont like windows paint more then a daw

Though not shown, this is in Stretch mode. To be honest, I don't remember this from the first time. It's pretty darn obvious.donkong wrote:Have you selected "Onsets"-editing in the editor? Left next to the wave form?

Here's another shot showing what mode I was in. I seriously hope they're just messing around seeing if they can make the waveform easier to read without thickening it.
\
If they cut the saturation to just a touch, it would be livable, but I think black on gray is a far easier to read and use. Thickening the vertical lines in the wave would make more of a difference.
Okay, I was confused. I forgot you have to add the stretch markers to the bottom and drag from there. How could I forget that, it being so intuitive. But for goodness sakes, at least:
1. Create a way to insert them automatically across a range or the whole clip.
2. If not that, don't force me to drag up when holding alt to create three. What? Do you think I'm holding the alt key for my health??
For that matter, why aren't they just all there? It's a separate mode so unless you go there and start dragging stuff you're not going to accidentally move something. I just want the stretch the darn thing so why do I have to waste time inserting markers?
Sorry Dom and guys, but I'm a bit frustrated.

Note that I still can't figure out a way to get my onsets back in another clip where I deleted them. Only dragging the clip back into the song seems to work. Maybe that's the way it's supposed to work?

well, then post a help request there. Since thats the place the devs monitor and can answer beta questions.
