Why do I keep getting "Plug-in host is not responding" message

This error message keeps opening in the top right corner while doing normal things with a plugin, as it's operating normally. The message has a button to end the plugin sandboxing.

I'm on a new computer, and only just upgraded to 4.1 from 3.3, so I don't know what changed. I don't think I was using sandboxing before, currently I have it set to sandbox by plugin.

Thoughts?

Yes, I also started to see it with 4.1 even though the plugin still works. Weird.

Yeah, same here (also on a new installation).
In some cases it made sense - like when I was doing licensing inside the plugin so it was probably locked to the outside - but in other cases I didn't understand it at all.
Not sure what it's supposed to accomplish...

I haven't noticed that... am on OSX Monterey and also have sandboxing set to within Bitwig cause the separate process is currently creating cpu spikes.

Just chiming in here to say I’ve experienced the same. I’m on Windows 11.

Seems a windows problem, nothing like that on Mac OS Mojave...

Also on Windows, also have seen this once since 4.1, and it was a really simple project with about 5 plugins. The window went away after a while. Everything seemed to be working 100% fine otherwise.

Yeah, I think I'll write a mail to support and ask what the idea is behind this.
Looks like some kind of "maybe this plugin has crashed" mechanism that gets a bit overexcited.

EDIT: I didn't try the current 4.1.1 yet, so it may be solved in that version...

I’ve also had this, but only when using Melodyne. Everything worked fine. Weird!

Nope. I'm still getting it.
