jbraner wrote: Wed Nov 03, 2021 7:32 pm Thanks vurt, yeah, it's for guitar.
I'm just looking for a simple pedal for occassional feedback ;)
I've been using the Softube plugin - it works fine with amp sims - but since using it with a *real* amp it doesn't sound very good. It seems to want to work with th eraw guitar file.
The Digitech one seems to do th etrick but:
A it's not available right now in the UK
B it's not worth th eprice for the once in a while that I'd use it ;)
ah fraid i dont really know of any pedals that would be cheaper :?
not saying there arent any, just not seen them!

good luck on the search, and if you do find anything, please report back, as id be interested myself :)
Aah screw it! I got a Freqout off of ebay yesterday ;)
Sometimes you have to just grin 'n bear it ;)

It won't get here till Thursday - hopefully it will be fun...

Thanks! I'm sure it will be fun too ;)
You're not wrong about "rare and desireable" either. They're going for up to £140 (GBP) on ebay. How much did they cost new? I'm sure it wasn't that much ;)

In the demos, it sounds synth-y in a good way. Now you have me wanting to get one. I'm so sick of guitar synths and MIDI, I want synthetic sounds but with all tonal variation of playing guitar.

I've become pretty interested in some of the weirder Alexander pedals lately. Probably going to
get the Syntax Error 2 at the very least.

Actually, I'm just looking for "real" feedback sounds - and this thing works great!
I guess it's really important, whether plugin or this real pedal, to put it first before any amp or sim or whatever. I just put the Freqout first in line - and it sounds great!
I especially love the "NAT HI" mode which just mixes up the different feedback harmonics. I don't see why you'd want it to always be the same one ;)
Also - momentary mode is great, so no feedback unless you keep the footswitch down.

I'm glad I went for it - thanks pedal (and GAS) brothers! ;)

Highly recommended! ;)

I've been using the softube plugin with amp sims, and it works fine - but now that I'm using a "real" amp - it sounds bad (because I can't put it before the amp).
So for hardware - the Freqout rocks! ;)

Anybody use Modular Grid for pedals? It would be cool to see wth you guys are actually using.
Maybe just live rigs or something. Not every pedal is listed, but many are, I am missing
one from JPTRfx from my tiny setup. Of course some are still on order as well.

cant you add them?
or is that only if you go full membership?

ill have a look next time ive got time and "show you mine" :o
never thought of doing it with pedals, as i dont have them on a board, dont need to "fit" them together like modules, where its good to know how much hp you have left, because i cant count that on the actual rig?

i dont tend to amp up much these days, but it wight be good to have the feeback going in to other pedals, which i often use rather than itb fx.
as much for foot control as sound, as stopping/moving the mouse/click/carry on playing is bloody annoying

You can add them, tho I haven't actually done that. I don't have a board either, but it's
a handy way to share your setups I think. Also to find out about weird pedals you never heard of,
much like with modular. :tu:

Interesting stuff like this, that I never heard of b4. I thought it sounded very good with the 0-coast
actually. https://youtu.be/lCgNjHo2q7g

It's really easy to add pedals and modules to modular grid. I've added a bunch, just using images which are available from mfg or dealer websites.
Here is the pedal board that is attached to my MesaBoogie amp:

The Silencer, Preamp MK2 and the Ottobit Jr. are in front of the amp and the rest are in the FX loop.

These are pedals which I often use with my modular or in the FX loops on my Helix:

These pedals are almost always running through an standalone EXTC, which is connected to my 2600, with the Echo Fix delay at the end of the chain:

These pedals are always connected to a pair of EXTCs which are in one of my 500 cases. I use these with drum machines and such: Image
