I keep meaning to ask.
Aside from the manual, might anyone be able to recommend resources that provide further insight into the OSC FX section?
(IE. which sort of content compliments which FX best/ which pairs of FX are generally most complimentary -
anything of this nature, really.) I've watched all of Howard's mini-tutorials on u-he's youtube channel multiple times. I've also watched a great deal of content on youtube in general.

One way to gain more insight is to have a spectrogram active while tweaking the sound. Try it with a saw wave to get a good view of whats going on. (I use iZotope Insight to get a nice spectrogram while sounddesigning)

Will Zebra 2.8 going to be NKS compatible?

[EDIT: I though he meant Z3] Not immediately, no. We still hope for some feature requests to be implemented, but even if that happens soon, I'm not certain how to move thousands over thousands of presets into tagged space. We might want to see how we go about tagging our banks first before we commit to NKS.Elektronisch wrote:Will Zebra 2.8 going to be NKS compatible?

Will this affect future browser updates and nks on instruments that has NKS support (Repro 1 and Diva)?

No, the new browser is good for NKS, and NKS support is already built into R5. But one NKS requirement is that all presets be tagged. This is automatically done during the creation of the factory content of R5.Elektronisch wrote:Ah i see. So i suppose it will be same case with Repro 5?

But as we also tag the soundbanks we sell, with Zebra, there's a gazillion presets to be tagged. It takes two or three people to tag a preset to perfection, i.e. verify the correctness and maybe discuss something better. It took one person four weeks full time to initially tag Diva's factory presets, and a few days for Howie and Viktor to verify and refine.
The idea is to gradually tag Zebra's content over time, then see how we go.

Thanks Urs for this thinking, i.e. baby steps for tagging. As a Zebra user all Would care initially are the factory presets to work in NKS.Urs wrote:Elektronisch wrote:Ah i see. So i suppose it will be same case with Repro 5?
