In an effort to become more agile we're going to offer more frequent updates of our stuff. Whenever we change any code, we always build all products for all platforms. So we also have all products with the most recent changes, improvements and bug fixes, but also with the latest bugs - some of which we might not experience in our environment. So by puting out latest builds we hope to provide bug fixes early, and also get early feedback on bugs that just happened. Which then get fixed quickly.

Naturally this isn't for everyone, but I think it'll help to improve the overall quality of our stuff. We will then from time to time take a build and release it as the official version.

At the same time we're going to add more tools that make bug reports and analysis easier for the user and for us.

Downloads removed because newer versions are avialble here:

Changes since 2211
  • should really fix AAX (autosave) crash bug for good
  • added missing buttons/drop down graphics to Filterscape
  • fixed missing Sync button in ZebraCM
  • fixed possible crash in VST
  • fixed automation-stops-when-editor-opens bug in Live/Bitwig
  • reworked Mac Installers (solve permissions issue?)
  • updated Filterscape, Satin user guide
  • changed initial open/close laws for preset folder

Changes since 2157
  • hopefully fixed possible crash on PT auto save (AAX)
  • fixed possible crash on closing down VST3 versions
  • fixed possible crash when unloading Diva
  • fixed permissions issue in VST2 Mac directory (this time, no tampering at all)
  • workaround for Maschine hang
  • fix for wrong settings folder in Pro Tools
  • fixed missing string representation in VST2 automation
  • fixed potential memory problem at high samplerates (Diva, maybe Satin)
  • fixed possible crash in Diva digital Osc
  • fixed possible crash in Diva Rotary Effect
  • fixed possible crash in Preset save
  • removed few more memory leaks
  • improved Map Editors (ACE/Zebra)
  • added high-precision CPU meter (internal use, logging only atm)
Note: No fixes yet for random VST3 issues

Changes since 2150
  • fixed broken preset browsing with up/down keys on Win
  • fixed a few memory leaks
  • fixed potential crash in new memory management
  • fixed permissions issue in VST2 Mac directory (please test...)
  • improved Satin CPU when UI is open
Changes since 2129
  • AAX updates UI on preset change
  • new compiler suite on Mac
  • new memory management (may crash, but leads to safer future)
  • a bunch of memory leaks fixed
  • many, many little bugs fixed (too many to mention, but most are really just "better coding style")
  • might not do MIDI Program Changes (but may prevent rare crashes)
  • no fix for VST2 Win arrow key preset browsing (hopefully by Friday)
  • ZebraCM included in public testing till after x-mas (get it now!)
Changes since last release version (Z2/Diva):
  • VST3 reports parameter changes correctly now on MIDI Learn ind preset change
  • AllNotesOff message at song start don't cut out first note in Renoise (and elsewhere?) anymore
  • as this is the first build posted here only changes from within this week are reflected - there'll be more details some time later (maybe  )
Special note about Satin:

A few revisions ago we have renamed a module within Satin in order to get more descriptive parameter names for host automation. That means unfortunately, once you save a project with a newer version, you can't go back without losing Satin's settings. Hence please do not test this build while you're in the middle of a production:

Note: We'll also be uploading a new beta for ZebraHZ inside The Dark Zebra that's available for download when logging into our support website. That'll take a bit and I'll report back here once it's done.

We're trying to get there :)

ZebraHZ 2.7 beta is available for download in the support area (Installer says 2.6 though, nevermind). People who bought it after December 1st need to send us an email to support at u-he dot com because we update the database only monthly for soundsets. We need to add this individually if anyone's interested.

I think it can go wrong if it isn't complemented with some wisdom about big picture stuff (have heard some horror stories). Basically a Xeno's paradox where one can only get fractionally towards the goal per pass, rather than finding a different approach. I don't think this is an issue here :)

Yeah, hehe, I don't think so either. The trick is to release a build as official once the benefits outweigh the remaining problems.

Urs, I am a little confused now... you advised (not so long ago) to NOT use VST3 ITMT.... so I've archived all my VST3's (Zebra+ACE+Podolski+TripeCheese and SATIN).

Is it safe now to continue using them ?

That's what we want to find out…

I would still reckon that it's better to wait until we rewrite them, as per the "VST3 Known Issues" thread

Hi I see the DIstortions in my list but when I add them in a patch I don't see the module to the left to adjust its paramaters.

Yes indeed, the ZebraHZ installer doesn't have the correct UI file. A new version will be up shortly

OK, FWIW... I installed SATIN 2129 and loaded VST3 instances on a running temp project. haven't touched anything (default preset).

CPU load is a l-i-t-l-l-e better (I'm still far away from the numbers exhibited here by some of the members) but I believe something good is happening.

I will install the reset of the gang. I have faith in you :)

Urs, Uhbik2129Win.zip only contains the license, readme, and user guide. No installation file.
