What do yo say if we create a few sounds for a select u-he synth, and compile them as a free soundset? Anyone can contribute. Maybe we could use this whole Covid-19 as a conceptual starting point, or maybe being in quarantine.

Just checking if anyone would be interested. It could be a fun little exercise in making sounds.

Excellent! Yeah, why not, Hive 2 is not a bad idea!

Personally I think I want to make sounds relatable in one way or another to the quarantine situation, but I think that's up to anyone who want to be a part of it.

Anyone can contribute with what they to the soundset, and we can post our results here.

Uhm...Bazille is German for bacteria right? While it's a virus that's got us all in quarantine, I think the bacteria/virus tie in would work better for a Bazille soundset than Hive. Just my suggestion!

Note: I already have like 20 Bazille presets made up that I've been meaning to share so this could be me looking for an excuse to finally do that!

I like the Bazille idea!

Maybe someone can start with one Preset, lets say a Bass one and then the next person morphs that to a Pad, the next person to a Sequence, etc?

I'll just go ahead and post some here cause why not right? Here's 22 Bazille patches to get the ball rolling (or not). Either way, who knows what tomorrow will look like so why wait?

Given the idea of a compilation, why limit it to one synth? Why not accept all presets for all u-he synths & effects, as long as they fit in with the theme? Then all the contributing designers can play to their specialties, and even users who only have access to one synth (Or the freebies) might still end up with some nice new sounds

Just a thought.

Given the idea of a compilation, why limit it to one synth? Why not accept all presets for all u-he synths & effects, as long as they fit in with the theme?

Perhaps folks could post their contribution for their u-he synth of choice, as Funkybot's Evil Twin has already done, in this thread. When it's all over and the pandemic is past, gather the offerings from the thread and make the compilation available as a freebie download for, and from, the community.

Or why not choose a different synth each week? I think many of us will still be under lockdown long enough to compete a run of them all.
