Our garden is still sprinkled with piles of leaves, although autumn is nearly gone over here. Frosty nights do their parts in ending this colorful time. What I love about it, is the peacefulness, going towards the final quarter of the lifecycle which in a last effort blooms up for ones eye. Well, duh, not that I am in the least romantic. Just like the view. And there is an equivalent in music, which is quiet as well, ambient in general. So here it comes, to please your mind and ears, in form of tracks by I.N.Kh.E. (Solstice), Owann (Eternal Return), Weingarten-Charlton (Where There is Light), Spiral Vremeni & Pleroma Orchestra (Point: Cape Fligely. Part 2. Night), DigitalSimplyWorld (Sounds of Autumn), Øystein Jørgensen (Midnight Radio Compilation 77), Lingua Lustra (Slow Time), and Markus Reuter (Live in Pomona 2016).

Welcome to the end. The end of 2016. At least regarding syndae's podcast, where you will get the final episode for this year. It's cool man! Oh, actually, it is. Somewhat below zero Celsius. Not a quantum of snow at my place, though, rather sunshine and blue sky. So, it's still cool, as is the music for tonight's show. There are still several new releases blooming at his time of year. But as it happened I also like to look back, far back... or not so far? It's a greeting from the year 2000 I have for you on tonight's show. And, as mentioned, some new and coming stuff, too. Have a wonderful evening with tracks by Jim Ottaway (Timeless e-Motion), Frank Specht (Sebastian im Traum), Richard Devine (Fields), Steve Roach (Spiral Revelation), 4T Thieves (Details), and Sequential Dreams (The Exodus Wave).

Putting up a podcast on music is not really a complex issue. One simply listens to several dozens of releases and tracks, picks those which seem interesting to your listeners, looks up some information on and about the artists, and compiles a show of 30 minutes length. Well, one must accept that not all releases fit to the show, some may really hurt ones ears or mind, which may be a matter of taste and use as well. So the actual issue is that it takes quite some time to find music that makes an edition worth listening. Some of them become wonderful for the individual listener, some not so much. I hope you will find tonight's show worth listening, because I always do and especially tonight. Brand new tracks and some tracks I just got aware of. A great mix to my ears, but decide for yourself. And I promise, it will be totally different in sound next time, and again. If you read all this text, thank you! Put on your headphones or start your stereo and listen to these fantastic tracks by moonbooter (Schwarzmond), Risingson (Predestination), Armen Miran & Hraach, In Vitro (El Hombre Libre), Edvoo Mood (Microscopic / Compilation), and Bicho Raro (The Path / Compilation).

Think out of the box, that's one often repeated Creed. So tonight comes some music out of the box, as the artists on this edition don't let boundaries of genres stop them. And rightly so. I am often looking for ideas and sounds which broaden my imagination. I bet, I am still to conservative about it, but I hope you find some inspiration in these tracks as well. On the playlist are Bogtrotter (Immersion), Nearfield (G5), Abjective (Balance me), Noston (Solve Et Goacula), WaterMelonDead (The Globe), and Nunun (Inner).

Holy banana. I am not sure what the heck came over me this week, which actually was quite slow. But maybe that's the reason, as when things get rather boring in life one needs some speed to enjoy the weekend. Well, no, not going on drugs, but turning on the volume to let the beat in. And beats you get with tracks by Atezu (Bootlegs), Groot (Grootesque), Xamanist (7), Negans (Danse Macabre), S0ca & Dreaddean (Microscopic), Open Source (Highly Motivated to Rock You).

So there I stood at the traffic light, which of course just had to jump to red when I closed up. One of those lucky days again. And it's not only the crossing traffic that passed by, which already takes long enough, but of course there is the tram approaching the crossing. Sorry, no, not only one, but one from each direction. And guess who is still waiting for green lights? What do you do, staring at the stop light? Well, I took a little trip in my mind, let the business memory fade and looked forward for the weekend. Oh my, it would have been such a relaxing and joyful moment, if those pesky cars behind me didn't start honking. Yeah, all right, green lights. So I hope you will have a more peace when listening to tonight's tracks by Centrozoon (217 XII), Forrest Fang (Following the Ether Sun), Chris Russel (Spectra), Ashot Danielyan & Lutz Thuns (Friends of Ambient 19), Carey Moore (Life is Ugly. Make Pretty Art.), and Talkingmakesnosense (We are Invisible Now Vol. 3).

Well, I try to have a different style of music on syndae each week with tracks that are similar in mood, but still quite different in sound and kind. Simply because I like it that way. What type of music listener are you? Mix it up how it comes along? Trying to fit it to your mood or its opposite? Listening to common radio shows, I usually get bored or annoyed of their everlasting rotation of the same over and over again. So, yes, I like diversity and similarity equally, but not stupid repeatology. There's the saying of Don't repeat yourself, which I quite follow, so no track finds it way twice to the show. Most times. And tonight you will get mainly new stuff, too. Some albums we already had, most we did not. And each of them unique and very harmonic. Have half an hour of joyful chilling listening pleasure with Johan Agebjörn & Mikael Ögren (We Never Came to the White Sea), David Wright & Carys (Prophecy), Der Waldläufer (Fluidum), Alkor (Where Tomorrow Ends), moonbooter (Schwarzmond), and Cosmic Trigger (Escape from Chapel Perilous).

Have you ever been to New York? To me, it's an interesting town to visit and look around for a while, but definitely too crowded and too busy for my likings. Last time I've been there right after the floodings, so even Liberty was closed and some parts of the subway did not run properly. And there are people everywhere. And cars. And taxis. And those sightseeing buses with open roof tops, which are really, really chilly at night, I tell you. Ok, it was a bit stupid to visit in Winter, and because of heavy snow fall our flight home was cancelled, too. Not so good, especially when running out of underwear. Well, at least it got quieter when everything was covered in white. Less traffic. Less people on the road. And some additional time off. Ok, enough of me burbling. Enjoy a decent chilly time yourself with cool tracks by Orphic (Purple), Wellenfeld (Sunshine), MilKos (Zumba), David Call (Midnight Radio Compilation 79), Flembaz (Coice & Foice), and Max Cavalerra (Techno Mode).

There aren't that many labels in electronic music having constant high quality output over the years. One of them is the German label MellowJet Records, run by a fantastic musician himself, Bernd Scholl. This year they are celebrating their 10th anniversary, and to me it feels like it was yesterday when I discovered the very young and fresh distributor from the Eifel. MellowJet provided many joyful hours to me, and surely to many of you, too. And it is a great occasion to have some questions ready and asked to the head of the label. Exactly. Tonight I have for you the first of a two part special on MellowJet Records featuring an interview with Bernd Scholl. And, of oourse, lots of music of the label, which tonight is by moonbooter (Under Control), Harald Grosskopf (Synthesist 2010), and Uwe Reckzeh, Wellenfeld as well as Magic Dimension (Electronic Music Compilation 9).

Where was I? Oh, yes, in midth of the interview with Bernd Scholl. As promised, tonight you will get the second part of questions answered by the head of MellowJet Records. Which reminds me of the question, I forgot to ask: What "MellowJet" means. So, I can only guess it could be a "gentle, but forceful breeze", whatever that could be. Hm, at least, most of their music is very "mellowdic" (Sorry for that one). Ok, so what will you get in part 2? More about what it needs to have your music released with the label, and what to expect from Bernd in that matter. And, of course, more of the fantastic artists and music being released on MellowJet, this time with tracks by Erez Yaary, Visible Breath, future_former, BatteryDead, and moonbooter himself.

Sometimes, life is stuffed with various events compressed into the shortness of a week. And at the end, I am grateful for each minute I have for taking myself back and relax. Well, thirty minutes do quite well in that regard, and that is what you get tonight. A wonderful mix of new and older tracks, looking forward, looking back. Oh, and then there are the upcoming events run by Stephan Kaske aka Mythos. You will find the dates and locations below, and a nice teaser in the show. Ok, best to listen for yourself, so have fun with tracks by Chris Gate (In and Out), Erik Seifert (Aotearoa), Cialyn (Off Season), FUS. (Physical Feeling), Assembled Minds (The Restless Field), and Mythos (Jules Vernes. Around the World in 80 Minutes).

What I like a lot about ambient music is its great source for images brought to my mind. Usually, this style of music is meant to run in the background, to accompany your being and rather not disturb whatever you do. But actually, it often is really cool and worth listen to very closely and try to detect the sometimes delicate variations and movements in sound. The advice to listen closely definitely applies to tonight's edition, as there always is beauty inside the featured tracks, either clearly and tangible or rather hidden in the details. Best to listen to with headphones, enjoy the tracks by Between Interval (Legacy), Kevin Lyons (Dancers at the End of Time), Lorenzo Montanà (Phase IX), Paul Kwitek, Chris Russell (Labyrinth), Cloudwalk (Forgotten World).

In several regions people start looking for their eggs these days, often painted in various colours and hidden at the most awkward places. As a variant, left in natural white to hide them in snow. However, you do not need to start searching as with this edition you already found some gems to please your listening desires. Plain in the open and obviously inheriting from traditional electronic, and either timeless or more modern in style. Also, there are several very interesting events coming up, where you will find Seifert & Steinbüchel (Softlock), Baltes & Erbe (Electric Garden), and Arcane (Tomorrow's Wasteland). But we don't stop there, as we have also really cool new music by Erik Wøllo (Different Spaces), Sequential Dreams (The Infinite Divide), and Eagle (Midnight Raadio Compilation 82).
