Hey everyone, I hope this community can give me some assistance on a major issue. I signed up with Onerpm at the beginning of the week. I informed them that I would be moving my catalogue across, which they acknowledged and provided me with advice on how to do it.

I spent the whole of Wednesday morning uploading my music and everything was going well. Friday afternoon/evening comes along and they have deleted my account. Although the releases have been delivered to streaming platforms.

I have emailed them and tried getting their attention by social media but have been completely ignored. Essentially, they have stolen my music identity and are now in possession of my music to profit from.

What can I do, any suggestions?

contact a lawyer.

Can't help you with Onerpm ... probably best take vurts advice about a lawyer, but I can recommend EMUbands as a distributor. My music is available on all the major platforms (Apple Music, Spotifty, Amazon, etc) and I get royalty updates every month. I've had no problems with them whatsoever.

I hope you can get this issue sorted out :)

Thanks Vurt, I finally managed to get through to someone at onerpm and just waiting to hear back. Legal route may be the only way in the end.

Thanks thecontrolcentre, I will look into them. May take a break for a while as this episode has left me reeling a bit.

Did Onerpm give any reason for deleting your account? Seems like a weird way for a distributor to behave.

Post

That's the whole weird thing. They deleted my account without telling me and point blank refuse to answer any emails or support tickets.

Is this a free service, or do they charge per album/ track?

Post

It's a free service https://onerpm.com/ but shady as, we'll you know.

The "How it works" link on their site takes me to a non-English language page, so I'm non-the-wiser. Couldn't find any serious info about what they actually offer on the site either ... just hype. Its not even clear where they are based. With other distro sites I've seen there's a license agreement to sign & an upfront fee to pay.

They've had some good reviews when you look at the music blogs and ye olde YouTube. When you register you have to provide all sorts of details. But hard lesson learned, go with the big players it may cause me less hassle.

The first trustpilot review is not encouraging:-

I have never heard of them. I hope you manage to solve the situation. Coming to free aggregators, I use RouteNote, but can't realy say if they are 100% trustworthy yet since I'm far from reaching my first payment 😄
