OK Fleer, you sold me on this one :tu:

Ensemble Extras: As the name implies, there is more to 88 Ensemble 2 than piano. Combination patches come in two flavors. Layered combinations, or Pads, add a second instrument that sounds along with the piano. These layered sounds include strings, synth pads, and choral pads.

As I got some virtual cash I managed to bag it for £8.45. I give Sonivox another chance

6.5GB download :o

Way to go, Num. it's my only Sonivox one, but definitely a goodie.

I was just playing Velvet to see if I really need the Waves 88, Velvet is surprisingly good and for 7 quid is a bargain!

Thanks for the heads up about that.

I see it in my account as well, as I got one reward to user there.

Hybrid/Loom/Velvet is all included in Air Collection v2.

88 Ensemble, even at £10,25 is it worth it for somebody not into pianos ?
I found the 88 works well with other pianos. And at that price, it is a great deal.

Thanks for this nickamandote.

I also see that they have Future Music and Music Tech also on about 50% discount in cart too if you add them. Can get all 3 for about $77 bucks. Anyone know how long they have this on sale for?

It's ok. I picked it up because I don't have any other pianos with as many velocity layers. I think that Sonivox samples well, but isn't as effective at using those samples as other vendors. As far as I can tell there's no closed lid samples, you have to simulate it with EQ. I prefer other pianos, I think, we'll see after a while, but this does have some nice playability.

For a great piano, try Wavesfactory's new (Freddie) Mercury Grand, it's on intro sale until Dec 1. Or check out ImpactSoundworks' Pearl. The former is a Fazioli, the latter a Yamaha.

I really like the XLN pianos. Something about them just sounds great in a mix.

I'm sure it's awesome. I'm actually happy enough with my NI pianos, but, I'm on the odd version upgrade plan so I don't have the newest pianos with the larger sample set since I haven't upgraded to 11 yet. I would do that before I spent any real money on piano samples. I'm kind of chomping at the bit for Una Corda. I wish NI would have put Komplete upgrades on sale.

FYI. Wavesfactory answered me back that their sale ends in about 5 hours from now or so.

I'm interested in Sharine and Trackspacer. Get 'em while you can for half price.

pettinhouse also sent out an email that his super discount package for all 11 libraries for $99 will also end at about the same time. About 5 hours from now if I'm calculating correctly... Check 'em out while you can.

I also wanted to repost my 'best of black friday 2016' list that I'd shared on the other thread here:
viewtopic.php?f=43&t=473987&hilit=2016&start=75

I wasn't seeing as many people reading that thread though and wanted to share before these deals end in case it helps someone.

Definitely the AIR Complete. Also Anthology X.

Here are the BEST deals I've found this year so far:

Don't forget about Softube Volume 1. Fantastic deal.

Also Liquidsonics Reverberate 2 50% off! This is an incredible reverb. Check it out.
http://www.liquidsonics.com/software_reverberate.htm
And only 10gbp more for filtrate and reverberate core. Quite a deal on quite a reverb. Same guys who built Slate's latest release that he's selling for $200.

8Dio Adagietto, Agiteto and Adagio. All 70% off right now until the 1st.
My favorite sounding libraries actually.

Chocolate audio's 'alternative store entrance' for customers and subscribers on their black album drums $74.50 and modern retro kits. All other stuff too.

Presonus E66 and R65 & R80 Studio Monitors on sale right now 'buy-one-get-one-free. So instead of $800 a pair they're only $400 right now!!! I bought 3 sets and about to buy another set to do full surround!

PSP Mixpack 2 for $39

Producers choice everything bundle is 60% off. So $133 currently.

Thanks for the "vintage strings" and "whoosh" heads up on those two. Great deals! I may grab those two.

Edit: Forgot these two:
http://vstbuzz.com/deals/78-off-eris-composer-tools/ Sounds pretty good. Unlike anything else really.

Synthmaster academic is available right now for $29. If you have a student ID, that's the same as the full version.

Oh and I almost forgot one of the best deals out there! The HGsounds.com cassetto $15 group buy.
It currently gets you 6 or 7 additional FREE instruments for that $15. Incredible deal!

Yes, I got both Sharine and Trackspacer.

I've been using Trackspacer to help a vocal cut through synth parts in a song I'm working on, and it works nicely. The highpass and lowpass filters on the sidechain are definitely useful, and there's a panel with attack/release etc that opens up when you click the blue circle in the bottom right of the plugin screen (which isn't immediately obvious).

Just picked up the 88, with including cash points, I got it for under a fiver!
