MuLab 8.8.0 is available in http://www.mutools.com/mulab/beta/

What's changed:
  • Modular Area: New "Put Selecteds Into New MUX" function.
  • Modular Area: Removed auto-coloring of modules that are inside a rack.
  • Fixed a bug wrt jack naming of VST plugins with mixed mono and stereo inputs / outputs.
Note: The "Put Selecteds Into New MUX" is in the modular editor context menu, same menu as "Auto Arrange".

How to update MuLab:
Windows: Replace the current MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID by the new versions.
MacOS: Replace the current MuLab.app by the new version.

Great update. Thank you.
May I suggest changing "Put selecteds into new Mux" to ""New Mux from selection" as it sounds better. Unless other users prefer the current title or have a better was of putting it?

Post

"New MUX from selection" sounds fine to me too.
Other opinions?

Post

'New MUX from Selection' is definitely better.

(Pedantry alert : 'Selected' is a verb or adjective, and 'selection' is the noun for things which have been selected... )
my other modular synth is a bugbrand

Small bug: grouping with input and output doesn't create the pins on the new MUX module.

"Save as preset from selected" would be better as "Save selection as preset"

Just trying to help 😁

I'd recommend that you use New MUX From Selection and then save that MUX.
Then you can still use Undo to return to the previous state.

Quick question: just making sure I'm not totally blind here. Mulab does NOT have a tuning module, i.e. an audio module that tells you the frequency and note name that your playing? (Sorry about asking here, but I didn't want to make a whole new thread.)
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

Thanks. I'm already using the one from gVST. Maybe if Jo gets bored on a rainy afternoon, he can add a small display to the freq analyzer or something. I often have it, the oscilloscope and gTune open at the same time.
