UPDATE:
Thank you to everyone who downloaded and has been enjoying the pre-release. As of version 16.00rc1 this bass amplifier for MTurboAmp is included with the Melda installer with a new name and improved gui: THUNDER!
Cheers!
Here is the pre-release of a bass amp I am working on. If you find it useful, great!
Bass Classic is a versatile bass amp drawing inspiration from classic bass amp, eq, and software designs.
Voice Switch, Vintage: Emphasize fundamental sub frequencies over mid-bass range.
Voice Switch, Classic: Emphasize mid-bass range over fundamental sub frequencies.
Boost: Increase level going into the amp to increase saturation (gain compensated).
Bass: Adjust both pre- and post- saturation bass frequencies simultaneously.
Pad: Red is bypassed. Green is 12dB input gain reduction, useful with active pickups.
Mid: Mid adjustment similar to Ampeg mid controls, but sweepable.
Treble: Moderate high end adjustment. Use Bright switch to boost further.
Scoop: Mid cut similar to Ampeg ultra low switch, but adjustable.
Flux: Subtle transformer saturation amount.
Bright Switch: High end lift to emphasize articulation, similar to a 10k Pultec boost.
Volume: Simple output volume adjustment.

Looks really good. I don't play bass, but it would be nice to have some bass amps in MTA.

I've installed this (by dragging the files into the devices folder) but I keep getting a "Main image is not available" error. Is this the proper way to install it? I've installed other devices in different ways but could not find a way to install this other than dragging the files.

Chandler, were you able to get this device to work? Vojtech did, but of course he would be able to!Chandlerhimself wrote: Sat Jul 30, 2022 1:39 pm Looks really good. I don't play bass, but it would be nice to have some bass amps in MTA.

I tried installing it by dragging the files and folder to C:\ProgramData\Meldaproduction\MTurboAmpDevices and it doesn't show up in the list of devices.
Am I missing a step somewhere? Do I need to tell MTurboAmp that it's there?

Make sure the .mimg files are in AppData\Roaming\MeldaProduction\MTurboAmpDevices\.Bass Classic
There is apparently a ProgramData folder with a bunch of .mamp files, but that is not where the working Bass Classic.mamp is located on my machine.

I am pretty new to using Melda plugins, and I'm also on windows, so unfortunately I'm unable to offer any advice. I have a friend on Mac who has the exact same issue, so its not just you.

Okay, with the help of this advice, I got it to work. Yay! Apparently MTurboAmp gets its device info from that location, not ProgramData.sparella wrote: Sun Aug 14, 2022 6:50 pmMake sure the .mimg files are in AppData\Roaming\MeldaProduction\MTurboAmpDevices\.Bass Classic
There is apparently a ProgramData folder with a bunch of .mamp files, but that is not where the working Bass Classic.mamp is located on my machine.
The recipe for getting it to work on my Windows system was to copy the contents of the Bass Classic 0_2 folder (not the folder itself, but the contents, the .mAmp, .presets,.xml files and .Bass Classic folder) to Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Meldaproduction\MTurboAmpDevices.
On MacOS, it could also be that there's a similar user data folder vs. global data folder.
I ran some IK MODO Bass through it and all the controls work. Looking forward to trying it with a real bass. Thanks for doing this.
I hope Meldaproduction and others come forward with more bass amp devices. I'd love it if MTurboAmp had "M15," "MVT," "M360" and "Massman." B.B. Dickerson's on the first two WAR albums is my new holy grail bass tone.

Hey Tonycore, It could be that the same issue is happening for you on Mac. Make sure you put the files in the user folder and not in the global folder.sparella wrote: Sun Aug 14, 2022 7:03 pmI am pretty new to using Melda plugins, and I'm also on windows, so unfortunately I'm unable to offer any advice.
