then why does it not work right if it is not a bug. it should be able to be reordered. all pro vsti work this way.

no, but i record in 4 time slomotion and lower pitch with all traks 4 octave. then when i render trak out, i resample up to make it higher frequency resolution. so it can take more than 30 minutes sometime to render. all pros record like this. i guess this vsti is not made for pros. :P

No, not 'all pro VSTI's work that way. Just because you disagree with the signal path chosen by NI for FM8 dosen't make it a 'bug' in the very least. It's not a line of code that breaks the program, causes hang-ups or otherwise goes against the feature set promised by the company.

Like I said, feel free to make a feature request to Native Instruments. Join their forums and post about it there.

but what if you have need to use for longer that 30 minutes???
Then you buy it :)

There now, wasn't that easy?

You can't microtune Massive, can you?

Post

I just had a short stint with both Massive and FM8, and I would most definitely give the nod to Massive, but man does it suck you dry!
The price is the only thing thats keeping me from buying it right now. I'll wait for a sale, because I already have a mountain of synths. Now if you will excuse me, I'm heading under the hood to see just how good this thing is.

Nope. It's been requested a number of times, though; maybe it'll show up in a future update.

Yeah, so what?
So imho this covers up most of the stuff ppl. tend to do with multistage envelopes...
IMO, the Performer doesn't have a whole lot of flexibility. Like I said, I prefer the Absynth/FM7/Kontakt style breakpoint envelopes.
It's at least possible to create different type of curves and it's possible to assing multible modulations sources to one destination, what probably works better than Absynth style envelopes for most of the synths users. But it's the same here, I rather prefere the more flexible solutions than the rather preset type implementations...
A formant is a preferred resonating frequency of any acoustical system.
