I just got a Keylab Essential 61. I can't get the preset selector knob, faders and knobs to work in Analog Lab. This thread is helpful and gives me hope that it's possible, but I'm a bit confused. Can someone who has managed to make it work properly post a simple step by step explanation of the setup procedure?

First this worked partially, then it worked perfectly for a short time until I closed Waveform and reopened it, and then I half gave up after trying all sorts of configurations. Later I happened to change the Analog Lab from my old copy to the new copy that's included with the controller, and I may have tried out new configurations. I don't know excatly what was the key, but anyway suddenly it worked (and keeps working
) as it's supposed to work (except minor stuff like some DAW control buttons triggering the "wrong" function):
My configuration:
Control Surfaces >
Mackie Control Universal - MIDIIN2 (Arturia Keylab Essential 61) - MIDIOUT2 (Arturia Keylab Essential 61)
MIDI Devices >
Enabled - Arturia Keylab Essential 61 - Output - Default Midi output
Enabled - MIDIOUT2 (Arturia Keylab Essential 61 ) - Output
Enabled - Arturia Keylab Essential 61 - Input- Default Midi input
Enabled - MIDIIN2 (Arturia Keylab Essential 61 ) - Input

Sat down to make some music for the first time in ages. The Keylab refuses to collaborate despite my settings being exactly as described above. I hate ... Waveform? Arturia? Computers? Life?

I literally did the same yesterday. Are you having trouble with the faders and knobs? I did, and was cursing my Keylab and everything under the sun...UNTIL I hit Map Select at the upper left of the Keylab, and then DAW. Boom, I got my faders and rotary knobs working again.skipscada wrote: Sun Feb 20, 2022 12:01 am Sat down to make some music for the first time in ages. There's some screenshots on things you may have to do in the Midi Control Center, but Ideally, this should get you going again, as long as you have the settings you posted right above your last post.
Man, I've forgotten everything I've learned, but it feels good to get things going again. It was weird getting a notification on a post almost 2 years old.

In between bouts of hating life, computers and all the rest of it, I think I have discovered that things work perfectly with Analog Lab in the VST2 version, but not with the VST3 version. Or the other way around. Anyway, among the promises for Waveform 12 is improved compatibility with controllers, including the Keylab, so fingers crossed.
