Click the display, there are 3 velocity curves: Normal, Hard and Linear.
The amplitude response of each key is scaled according to an internal table and cannot be changed by the user.

new beta just uploaded, dated Feb 28, 2005 03:36pm

Tried the new version, still has that hung resonance, I think is on the "Mallets" section, if I play some notes until I get that F tone then move the mallets knobs the resonance dissapears.

About the velo, yes I thought it was a table but my Clavinova has hard keys I was wondering if you could add a simple knob instead three fixed velocity modes.

Maybe by adding a "level adjust" module between "MIDI to CV" and the rhodes synth? I don't really know since you seem to have many modules coded by you.

cheers.

I've just uploaded a new version. This time I added a new model for the release noises... wow.. not because it's me but this time I really think I've surpassed myself :hihi:

Check it out!

Maybe also the FL whistle problem might have been gone away, but I need a confirmation by an FL user.

Also the DEMK2 vs. MrRay73 AB has been updated.

Have a listen and tell me

Thanks

I will try tonite- hey zio, I think I noticed another aspect of the sound that isnt quite right- the intial attack of the mallet hitting the tine sounds like it is pitched perfectly to the note you are playing. However on a real rhodes the sound is not quite so "perfect" and can sometimes sound out of tune to the note. I will listen to this version and see if I can hear it..

Post

Yes, certain notes reproduce exactly the same pitch, others do not.

Mainly the low notes (below C3~A3) the metallic noise is pitched like the actual note but kinda 3 octaves up. For other notes around C4 the sound is almost 2 octaves and 10 semitones up, and for higher notes aboce C5 the metallic noise is between 2 octaves up and some semitone..

Step by step, all the secrets have come to light :)

Post

BTW- I ran this plugin through the Kjaerhaus classic phaser and classic reverb and got an absolutely beautiful rhodes tone out of it- amazingly fluid, creamy and delicous...

Post

Sounding closer and closer Zio! Gonna check this as soon as I get home :hyper:
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

The Kjaerhaus phaser is wonderful! I don't know how this guy did it, but it's absolutely the best software phaser I ever know, much close to my hardware fav, the Roland GP8 built-in phaser.

Hey Griels! Welcome on board :)

I tried the last version of the dll with iZotope Trash and it sounded super cool. Adding a bit of noise, modulation and overdrive really adds some more magic too it.
Kind regards,

Amazing! Thank You!
Key release sounds are very real and convincing

I noticed two things tonight:

1 I compared the latest version with the first one, huge difference.
2 My Elekrik Piano is bored , nobody plays with it lately.

I will record a small demo song soon.
Too bad I can't play keyboard but I have a midi guitar.

Dude, this thing is totally amazing. I have Dusty Electric MkII already, and it is really great. I can't imagine spending $200 on Scarbee based on that alone since it is less than half the price. However, after hearing this...who needs either of them? Sure, they might be a little be more realistic, especially on the high end, but sitting in a mix you would never notice. Awesome work...this is the first physically modeled Rhodes I have played that I think sounds right. Mr. Ray 73 rules!!!

BTW, Mr. Ray 2.0 worked fine in Tracktion. I downloaded 2.2, and on anything but the default patch I get clicks in the sound when I press the keys. Just FYI. I am using 2.0 because of this.

Whoa!

Adding to the list of fun abuses, send it through Simulanalog's Univibe, and maybe, maybe the tube amp sim of your choice (Simulanalog's Twin, perhaps) -- instant Billy Joel!

Err, maybe that's not a Good Thing, but I really like "Just The Way You Are".
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!
