Has anybody succeeded using FL Studio 5 as a host and Groove Agent as a VSTi? I'm having weird dropouts in FL:s playlist window and basically GA seems to play only the first bar (and if you're lucky, a few bars every now and then after the first ..?
Help anyone?

Looks like there isn't a demo yet so we'll just have to wait... but what an annoying and silly bug !;)kode_poet wrote:Same problem here. I hope the version 2 solves this problem, but...I dunno if I wanna shell out the money just to test it. Is there a demo out yet?

ATTENTION ALL SHOPPERS!
I have found some decent workarounds. First, there is something about the preset tempo that is a big problem........I have found that changing the tempo can do wonders.
Second, starting at bar ONE is the kiss of death it seems. If I start everything at bar 2 (pattern or song) i seem to have good luck.
Third. I believe version 2 will help but you will need to buy a dongle which is the greatest sin in history!
One problem is the fl does dx and vst............groove agent HATES dx. You can use directxier and that will help, but it's a waste unless you are also using it with sonar.
Ok, hope that helps

Yeah, this really seems to help a lot!I have found some decent workarounds. I've tried everything from starting from bar 10,000 to capturing the loops in an audio editor and choping them up and then importing them back into FL. That last one seems to work. The first one doent. Groove Agent is such a bad implemented cool idea. Sucks balls like a porn star!

Dont the MIDI controller Keys do that? I believe the 1st 2 octaves have individual hits and the other 2 or 3 octaves have patterns. Either way, I havent used it for a while, since it doesnt work on FL. Sucks how a cool product, (and a good part of my damn paycheck, its just there collecting dust).

Yeah, sort of but all the keys I've been hitting seem to be patterns that start off with a drum fill (which is ok sometimes) and not like you'd have when you press play on GA where they go straight into the groove..?

Its starting with a drum fill because you are probably pressing on the keys too hard. Press on the keys a little softer, or modify the velocity after you record the notes to a lower value. When you want to activate a fill, put the velocity all the way up. See if that works. About the single hits, make sure you change the octave range on your keyboard if you dont have an 88 key one. U'll see what I mean.

Try adjusting FLS tempo by a few units (like 90.300)instead of 90 BPM ... should work. Strange bug.dreamon wrote:Has anybody succeeded using FL Studio 5 as a host and Groove Agent as a VSTi? VELOCITY is the key. If you hit the key hard, it will trigger a fill, if you hit softly it SHOULD trigger jus the pattern.dreamon wrote:Yeah, sort of but all the keys I've been hitting seem to be patterns that start off with a drum fill (which is ok sometimes) and not like you'd have when you press play on GA where they go straight into the groove..?

BTW, you can edit this pretty easy, sometimes I have to go back and draw some vel lines lower...........but it works.
