ST2 Free New Sounds/Presets Question

Just had a quick question re the new sounds/presets for ST2Free that IK just posted (well at least within the last couple of weeks ) Seems like the stip files won't load - you get the "This is not a Sampletank2 Free..." message. No worries since I can rename the stip files and preview individually, but of course it'd be nice to be able to use 'em all! Anyone else tried them yet?

What? I didn't have that problem at all. I have ST2XL, and I dropped the free ones into my ST2Instruments folders and they pulled up fine. I like the 73 EPiano -> Ballad EP patch...sounds awesome!!!

Hi Pete-

Sorry about the confusion....I'm trying to load the new presets into ST2FREE (2.0.9), NOT a full version (yeah, I should get the full version - missed the 1st group buy and am thinking about the capsule buy ). Maybe these are for the full versions only? Though then they'd probably be in the reg'd users' area.

They do sound nice though! If you want to preview them in FREE, you can rename the stip files to mirror the parent patch name, ie rename Ballad EP.stip to 73 EPiano.stip. Course then you have to rename each stip file and move them in and out of the ST2 Instruments folder so you don't overwrite files, which means you can only use one stip at a time

It's free, so I'm NOT complaining (too much anyway )
