Check out some mp3 demos here:

I must say these are some of the most impressive sampled guitar demos I’ve ever heard.

With the new Project6 library from Bela D Media just released this looks to be a great year for guitar libraries – and there’s bound to be some great guitars in the upcoming Studiophonik from IK/SR. 8)

The Prominy library is only available for GigaStudio 2 & 3, price is $599 ($499 pre-order).

I guess you get what you pay for.

The ’56 Strat library from EastWest is $300. That’s a 2.5 GB library – the Prominy LPC is 50 GB. Considering the amount of work that must have gone into this thing and, most of all, the results that can obviously be achived with it I think it’s a fair price – though I can see how others might disagree.

When i saw the price i knew i would never pay that much just for a guitar lib.
After hearing the demos..well i still won't pay that much, but i could imagine why people would.
This sounds really amazing.

This is 110Gb - I make that only $5 per gigabyte.

That’s if you add the GS 2 and GS 3 versions (50 GB and 60 GB, respectively).

A proper sampled guitar gets real big real fast – and a lot of work to sort out too. I found my guitar library was a gig and that was without the muted stuff or some of the plectrum choices, too big to post in the end, I will probably break it down and use it in other sets - $600 thats a lot of dosh though - does anyone buy stuff at that price for samples? What bit depth is the giga stuff in?

Best regards,

:O)

Hm, I think I would rather just buy a real guitar...
