That's odd. The update to 0.99C with 6732kB size has the 0.99C DLL in it. Please double-check and re-install. Also, what version # is displayed in the ABOUT tab of Jamstix?Midiworks wrote: No it did not...
Because you did NOT update the small 7mb version.

Hi Lucky, the MIDI out will work in any host that can route VSTi MIDI-Out, such as Cubase SX. It should also work with DXi apps like Sonar, if you use the DirectiXer wrapper with MIDI loopback.Lucky_1 wrote: Is the midi output gonna work in all hosts ?

I'm sorry but we can't. We are committed to our release date and need all the time left to making sure Jamstix is ready for it.munchkin wrote:Any chance of buying now, pre-release, and receiving a discount?
Thanks and we appreciate your interest and patience!

Your uninstaller did NOT uninstall/deleted the old folder and dll.
I found 2 working Jamstix folders...
After that I deleted the folder manualy (after using uninstall)
Great the bitch is gone !
But there are problems with the loaded drum vst,
after running for 10min or more I get errors,
also I cant open the loaded drum vst anymore.
What I miss is to be able to lower the velocity of a single drum sound.(like hi hat)
Otherwise a great VSTi !

Which drum vst are you using? But there are problems with the loaded drum vst,

Did you know that you can right-click, hold and slide up/down to change the velocity of all green checkboxes in the rhythm tab? What I miss is to be able to lower the velocity of a single drum sound.(like hi hat)
Also, doing the same but sliding left/right changes tom hit patterns if you do it in the tom panel

Plugsound Drums and Percussion.Zauni wrote: Which drum vst are you using?
btw. Plugsound HipHop, nearly froze Chainer while
playing Jamstix.
Jamstix always ask 2 times for the VSTi to load,
that is very unusual.
Also after 999 bars of a jam he does'nt react very good and to incommig audio anymore.
The biggest problem I found using Jamstix is, it plays too freely, like a "undisciplined" band drummer.
It would be great if could "taim" the drummer a little.
Maybe a kind of "Studio Drummer" and "Band Drummer"
button could take care of that.
Great work I have a lot of fun with Jamstix !

This is very interesting. Could you describe this in more detail, exactly what you click and what happens on the screen?Midiworks wrote: Jamstix always ask 2 times for the VSTi to load,

I get this too, my host is FL Studio. The open dialog appears, then appears again after selecting a DLL and clicking on Open. It seems to work fine the second time.Zauni wrote:This is very interesting. I think I know what you mean, Midiworks, and I agree.Midiworks wrote:The biggest problem I found using Jamstix is, it plays too freely, like a "undisciplined" band drummer. I find it takes a bit of work to have a simple, fairly flat, groove. The styles all tend to "swing" and there are times when I want a flat, "neolothic" 4 on the floor style.
That said, this is an unusually promising new tool!

Hi MickGael,
what happens when you pull funkiness, complexity, accentuation and fill frequency all the way to the left? That should give you a flat 4/4 rock beat.

OK, it's late here (for me, anyway), so maybe I'm just missing something...
I'm running jamstix in TRacktion. I d/led he 7mb version, and am using the audiom8 on my audio track and Jamstix in front of DR008. I think the mapping is right, or at least good enough, because I get output from Jamstix for exactly 4 bars, then it dies. I've tried this on two different projects and the same thing happens both times. What is going on? Is this some kind of limitation of Jamstix? I assume not since no one else is reporting this. I don't see how Tracktion could be doing it, but you never know...

Hi Reqs,
it sounds like you're only using the MIDI-out of Jamstix, which is limited to bars 1 through 4 in the demo version.
Try using it as seen in this screenshot.
When you hit play, Jamstix should continually jam.
Let me know if this helps!
