I was wondering if anyone could refer me to a good vocoder? I'm on a limited budget at this point but I'm just wondering what is out there, free or not!

Thanks!

I noticed today that there's a new free Vocoder released called Voctopus:

Looks interesting (will try it tonight).

for a limited budget you could pick up a copy of CM and get the CM vocoder (compliments of FL)

Not exactly a vocoder, but in my opinion even better--

Elevayta's Clone Boy! Cheap, too.

Two more to look into:

MDA Vocoder
EVM Syncoder32

An oldie but a goodie for those 70's Kraftwerky tones, now free:
Cylonix Mk2

I like Prosoniq Orange Vocoder myself. But i use it for making ambient pads which it does a great job at.

Syncoder can now run as F/X send or insert and
use your own waves (synths) for carriers.
With live or wave file input for modulator it
also has fully user variable frequency bands
plus other 'goodies'.

This F/X version is called X/Coder and will be
out soon when I finish the GUI.

Trubia LAbs makes one called Ranon. I think it only needs one signal going to it.
