didnt hear much of cotb other than the first album(with the jelly baby type cover)but saw em live a few times at the dogs in manc at the academy
they have started doin a smaller scale just djs n mcs it seems at the music box but somehow i cant imagine it being the same

The Ozrics are one of the only bands I've encountered that haven't produced a "bad" album, or sold out to some degree in search of fame. I know, subjective opinion and all that. Their music isn't for everyone, obviously, but at least Ed Wynne has stayed true to his muse, and for that I'm grateful. The compositions are much more complex than a superficial listening can reveal, and their work always manages to transport me somewhere interesting. I always have at least one of their disks in rotation. You don't have to love what they do, but at least give them credit for surviving so long in the shadows of so much bad popular music.
