The Virus Ti isnt even out yet but it will be of great interest to see how the plug in delay works in several host. Who really know how this will work in FL. Right now everything being said is speculation. As we learned with software we sometimes find were also the unofficial beta tester.
Please dont bite me.

If I recall correctly, Gol once said that PDC may eventually be implemented in FL. Apparently, it seems that he cannot see why it is necessary yet. The recent widespreading of DSP driven software/hardware synths and fx may lead him to reconsider that.

Post

yes he should consider it. Products like the Virus TI cannot be overlooked...

anyway, if I'm not wrong, the Virus TI has been out this very week...

No I think it's perfectly safe to buy the virus. Just render the tracks once you're happy or use the delays on every other track. Sure it's a bit annoying and inconvenient but hey.. the results should be worth it.

Cheers!

pain in the ass
funny, considering that 'pain' means bread in french. A turkish bread in one's ass?

Apparently, it seems that he cannot see why it is necessary yet
never said anything like that

A cheap hack, but meh. Since you're using FL you can just route all your tracks into one bus, put the delay on that, then have the Virus go to another bus, then finally send these two to the master.

I think.

Maybe, but if TI stands for total integration, it's a shame if the so-called integration is in the end so partial that getting a C would be a better idea.

Post

Has anyone seen any specs on expected latency with the TI? I've been curious since it was announced just how well they'll pull off the integration.

Access's marketing docs just say:

Inside, a new Dual-DSP core delivers stellar performance with super-low latency. TI also employs studio-grade converters with 192 Khz/24-bit D/A.
