Heh? I've got Tracktion set up as per your SS with the exception of the USB In. I am simply trying to make Jamstix play along with a preexisting track, rather than with Live audio input.
Here's some more info: I can use the JS transport controls to back it up to Bar 1 and the Audition button works. Move it to Bar 5 and it stops working. I'm
baffled....

Okay, just got your screenshots and I know what's going on now.
You placed DR-008 after Jamstix. That means you are feeding the MIDI out info from Jamstix to DR-008. That will work fine in the full version but not in the demo because it stops MIDI out after bar 4.
Just remove the DR-008. You should now hear Jamstix play its internal sounds and it will play past bar 4. If you want to use DR-008, just load it into Jamstix for now using the MAPPING tab->External VSTi.
Make sure you have at least as many outputs selected for Jamstix in the mapping tab as your VSTi will use (changing # of outputs requires a restart of Jamstix).
Let me know if this helps!

Wow! Zauni/Ralph,
I haven't tried out Jamstix yet (not sure whether I even need such a thing, I'll check it anyways...), but I must say if THIS is what your customer support will continue to be like (and it's basically only demo users here), you are doing the most awsome job I've seen in quite a while!
Should almost be worth it alone to buy your stuff!
Try to keep it like that!

Thanks for the very kind words, Sascha!
Yes, we believe taking care of your actual and potential customers is as important as the product itself.
And also, we are musicians ourselves....
And we are also customers of musician products so we know how important support is from our own experiences.
Thanks again!

I've gotta scrounge up $99 from somewhere soon...
Zauni has also been really helpful on Ableton's forums BTW. Great job!

It's actually only $89 right now if you pre-order
Also, check our site over the next few days, we will release an update to the demo that fixes a variety of issues.

You're really torturing me now! I just spent all my free money on a new toy, I even had to sell Tracktion to finance it. Being poor sucks. How long will the preorder last? Maybe I can find something else to sell.Zauni wrote:It's actually only $89 right now if you pre-order

Totally kickass product! Reminds me of the chaos feature in Stylus RMX.
I have a small comment about your demo movies. The narrator in them has the most robotic and wooden narration I've ever heard in any product demo. It doesn't detract from the product, but it does give a negative impressions as stuff like that tends to sound very amaterish.

Sure that works but thats not it,Zauni wrote:Hi MickGael,
what happens when you pull funkiness, complexity, accentuation and fill frequency all the way to the left? That should give you a flat 4/4 rock beat.
the flat 4/4 rock beat, sounds lifeless then.
Like a simple beatbox....
The sliders funkiness, complexity, accentuation,
at "near" zero, sound more alive.
I guess the slider range is too small to get a
good "simple" groove going.
While higher slider values are easy to set for the "wild drummer",
they are too narrow/small for "normal drumming".
(the more usefull studio drummer)

Well, we didn't want to pay a professional for the tutorials. That's how we keep the price at $99Lunatique wrote: I have a small comment about your demo movies. Furthermore, I don't think there are many products of this price/value ratio that have video tutorials at all!
But in any case, your comments are duly noted!
