You may even decide which layout you prefer; let me know:
www.waran.net
www.midiweb.de/waran
Two different approaches: cloudy vs. cool.
btw: don't choose the "English version": it's still German, too ...

Sorry but the're both krap. The first one looks like the web did 10 years ago and the second one has a splash screen, then looks like Pentagon-I.

The second one is better. Not sure about why people have fascinations with light blue background for text! Change the blue!!waran wrote:You may even decide which layout you prefer; let me know:

One thing to note, if you wanna play embedded sound, don't just have it open the mp3 file. In Mozilla, it brings up a download popup instantly, which isn't very flattering.waran wrote:You may even decide which layout you prefer; let me know:

The same answer as to Novakill:3*s wrote:One thing to note, if you wanna play embedded sound, don't just have it open the mp3 file. In Mozilla, it brings up a download popup instantly, which isn't very flattering.
It's hard to do all things at one time: Make music, produce, do graphics AND a website
So how should I integrate the mp3s a better way?
And how to achieve a layout as Novakill's without going into the depths of HTML?

My site is as simple as they come. The navigation is in one table and everything else is in a second table. I make it in PageMill, which Adobe killed 7 or 8 years ago. The roll-overs come out of Xara but PageMill has no idea what to do with them.

Hey Bones,
thanks alot for your input.
I'm afraid I'll have to live with or old-fashioned site because I simply can't afford to re-write it completely
Sigh ...
I'm afraid I have to make decisions: Make music and get rich and famous to pay a pro-layouter or design a superb website but stop making music (only speaking for myself) or live with a jurassic website ...
Or get Bones to re-design it

I have a friend who is a digital illustrator/animator. He built the website a few years ago, when he was looking for assignments. It helped him build skills (that's why it's a flash-site) as well as a portfolio. It served him (and certainly us) well, because now he has so much work, he hardly has any time to do the updates.Armadillo wrote:Well, I thought mine www.wireempire.com was pretty good , but seeing that www.daxo.de![]()
, celldweller and julietsghots, I'm having 2nd thoughts. Have you guys done it yourself or hired someone?
