I found when working with Trash that I forgot what the presets were based on that I liked the most etc.

So I made this lite utility to list and sort presets on a number of the common settings.

This is what you get:

So just press the heading on whatever column you want to get list sorted by.

And also a more detailed listing to put in Excel if you want.

Readme.txt covers what you need to know.

Have fun. :)

Hi,

no files there? Looks like a great idea, though!

Great. Thanks very much. I think Izotope will appreciate it if you send the prog to them.
Could you do such a thing for Ozone, too ?
Very helpful to keep an overview of the settings !

I did send this to Izotope last July to explain a little what I was missing in Trash.

So tutil came very much out of my own need.

I have not looked into Ozone presets files that much yet that I know if it's similar or much work is needed.

Possibly Izotope and other users also have felt that external midi controllers to get physical knobs and just listen very hard to what happends with sound would be a good thing. I miss that particularly with Ozone.

To tweak exciter slightly while listening hard, instead of flipping all over with mouse.

When my production of songs rate goes up I will probably feel a need for this in Ozone as well.

lfm,
As an avid Trash user, I have actually been looking for something like this. I really like to be able to sort by particular settings. But, when I exit and then come back into TUTIL I have to click "Update" again to show my presets. Also, if I add fields such as "Delay" it never shows up as a column, even if I click "Update" again.

Great program though, it is already making me more productive.

I see what you mean.

The screen does not change whatever you choose, unless removing dist and boxmodel, and then only removes stuff.

But logfile tutil.txt is affected by options.

The screen stuff I made just for my initial need, to see boxmodels and dist and amount of overdrive it was based on.

I might do something more in the direction you mention(which probably is most intuitive). When you place you checkmarks that is probably what you expect.

But to load into Excel is not such a big story either, and then do sorting on column there, hide unwanted columns and so on. This until I do something more about basic settings making them available in this listing as well.

My idea to Izotope was that they could make such an external application to communicate with their plugin. And this external application could support midi and thereby also be manouvered in realtime. And it might support patch select and so on, which I miss now. And external application need not be limited by the user interface of the plugin either but could use entire screen surface, showing all pages of the plugin in one screen. And then implement NRPN controllers to everything running an controlsurface. That would really be neat and nice to work with.

Thanks for feedback. I will have a go again and see if I could make any setting available. I would actually like to make all parts visible at once if I could(most of it in a dialog surface kind of).
