I couldn't access the link. I did get to Victor Calderone's web site, but could only get a little music to Caligula... not tribal house!

That worked. What software/hardware do you currently use? Are you looking for percussion? Voices? Looping?

Samples and Analog synths basically.
For that kind of fat and dark sound I'd recommend:
Commercial:
-Minimonsta
-Ultra Analog
-z3ta+
Free:
asynth
Triangle II
For sample based stuff, any of the drum samplers out there are good. RMIV, Battery, DR-008... I like Kontakt for "general" sampling.
For looping and slicing, I personally use Sonar 4's excellent audio-handling capabilites. It has built in Prosoniq time stretching as well. Maybe try acid, or one of the various beat slicers/audio manipulators out there (Sonar does it for me, so I'm not familiar with other slicing tools, maybe someone could recommend some?).
For reverbs I like SIR, as I am a convolution fan. There are lots of other good ones out there like Ambience, Renaissance Reverb, Princeton Stereo Room, Freeverb, and Masterverb.
For compressors, if youre willing to spend the cash, get a UAD-1 card with the ultrabundle. It's got several famous modeled vintage compressors.
Vintage Warmer, Camelphat, and the voxengo stuff are good for this as well.
For a clean sound, I like stardust, C3 multiband, amd Db-D.

I heard percussion and some effect sounds. So I'm confused by what is ment by "big room anthem type" sounds.
A looping app would work nicely for the percussion. I use acid pro 5.0 for my looping. Live would also be a great choice.
But every person you hear from will do it a little differently.

get lot's of drum librarys and then mix many drums to get that specific sound...this tune has a lot of "acustic" toms/bells/and 909 type sounds.....
I'd say for the synth type sounds, Asynth or any other synth with highquality HP filters.
some good filter is also necessary...there are some good freeware around!

I think you could make the music with the software you already have... but that's no fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, I would suggestplaying with malstrom (in reason). Between that, NNXT, and other refills (go percussion!) and loops in live you should be covered.

between reason and z3ta+ your set. Dont waste your time DLing and trying out so many demos...just get to work. Concentrate on z3ta and learn it inside out.
If anything just go visit some 2nd hand record stores and buy some old exotica records to sample from.
