RMIV impressions

I know I don't own T anymore and won't be getting T2, but since I used a friend's RMIV tonight I thought I'd share my experience.

I used it in Live4.

It's great! I was up and running without opening a manual and creating my own kits within 10 minutes. I easily routed individual drums to different channels, and it has a compressor for each drum pad which makes it easy to tune up your drum kit.

If I were upgrading to T2 now, I'd definitely want this in the box. The RMIV is a very straightforward and highly productive instrument. It was much easier to get a grip on then Battery, for example. I had a great time making tracks with this plugin!

...and I get the impression that the T2 upgrade price is less than the outright cost of RMIV, so a fantastic bargain for those of us who ARE Tracktion users

Yep, I do believe there will be an awful lot of happy Tracktion users! And RMIV is just one of many plugs shipping with T2.

Another thing about RMIV is that it ships with a huge library of midi drum loops, which minimizes the lack of beatmapping and good timestretching in Tracktion. I'm assuming these will be included with the Tracktion version.

Anyway, awesome plug for an awesome host, at an awesome price!

Hi
I think the version in Traktion will be a lite version ... I do not think it includes all the kits .... at least i know our Manytone drums are not in the Traktion version but are in the full version of RmIV.

But on that note ... We do sell the drums seperate so Traktion users can get them if wanted.

Maybe someone else knows more about the content of the T2 Version.

I didn't even know ManyStation Lite was coming with Tracktion! That's good news.

As for RMIV, as already stated in this and other threads, once the ink is dry, it WILL be for the full version.

I believe he's referring to Manytone RMIV kits.

How the heck did you get that?
ManyStation was not mentioned at all.

I am referring to our Manytone Acoustic Drums which come with RMIV Full version.

Nothing was said in regards to ManyStation?????

So ... Where are you getting the info that it is Full Version. As far as i know it is not a full copy, and our $50.00 worth of Drums are not in it but are in the full RMIV version.
I will ping Peter at Linplug to stop by here and sort us.

Hmmm...

Beno (MAckie) says it's the full 2 CD version of RMIV (in a previous thread somewhere, but I saw him say it loud)

Peter (Linplug) says the contract isn't yet signed...

Paul (MAnytone) says its not the full RMIV...

So we definitely need some clarification on this one please!

Nobody said the word "Manystation"... I just didn't know that Manytone did drum kits for the RMIV.

Why are people so alarmist?

Chill out, all...

Lunch Money ... sorry ... not alarmist here ... We just need proper clarification on this so we all know what is up. As far as i know ... Manytone drums will not be included. But as you say ... Things might still be in the works. So don't take my words.
Anyways i did ping Peter on this.

ok, I can say something about it, but I'm sure if its all you like to hear.

1. Mackie and LinPlug agreed that RMIV is part of Tracktion
2. About the details Mackie and LinPlug will make a press release once all is fixed and clear.
3. Personally and inofficially I feel we're quite close to do so.

Sorry, but I cannot say more, I keep things confidential as this is good practice when talking about such things.

One thing, finally, I strongly believe that anybody will profit from this cololaboration, Mackie, we and - most important - the current and futurer customers of Tracktion and RM IV.

I'm there to answer any question once we officially released the details.

Best regards
Peter

Thanks for the clarification, Peter. As a Tracktion customer I'm very much looking forward to getting more acquainted with RMIV - I've tried the demo and can't wait to get my hands on this!

Mully and Manytone--

I can see why it would have seemed obvious, but when you're quickly reading through a thread because you have 5 spare minutes at work and you see a post that only says "Manytone Drums", a product that I've never heard of before, you can also see why someone would make the mistake... Manystation is the only Manytone product that I'm really aware of. ;)

SO, I thought Manytone was drawing a comparison:

"Well, Manytone is only including a Lite version, which I suspect is what Linplug will do," is what I actually got out of the message.

I'll take the blame for not reading carefully enough. <chuckle>

;)
