I just got both, and ManyStation scores (to my surprise) better so far.
Why?
Being a guitarist I'm used to squeezing and teasing the juice out of a fretboard. I think it's called expression and phrasing, but whatever it is it's what makes guitar playing so hot.
I can do this with ManyStation as the presets are so velocity sensitive. They respond so very positively to the way I play, and not simply to the notes I play.
Well thought out responsive presets is a massive feature.
It's not just velo sensitivity or the number of velo sample layers. It's more about an approach that decides "right ... this synth is gonna be expressive!"
I wish more devs thought this way. I don't want more buttons, I want more playability!
And now by comparison, I find the latest XPhraze XPansions relatively sterile, in spite of their greater technical complexity and much higher price.

Hi Kevvvvv
Wow ... Nice words M8! Thanks.
Just wait till you see our ManyMore Soundset addons.
I Plan on some cool things!
Also make sure to have a look at the griels bank in the Velocity Sticky thread here on the Manytone Forum. He has started some nice experiments in Realistic Playing Presets.
I think we can even go further than we have in the original package... As cool as it all is ..... even I discover new things every day!
Cheers and Thanks again for the kind words!

In the last year or two we've all seen synths move towards producing motion and evolving sounds, with XPhraze a case in point.
But in spite of the motion there's often a basic lack a of vitality and energy.
Another case in point is Wizoo samples. I have quite a few of them, and I can't fault them technically but they are limp, with their oeuvre, Hypersonic, being the limpest d#ck on the christmas tree.
It's pleasure to hear samples that have vitality, like Matt Ragan's Max Strength Guitars ... or ManyStation's guitars. And then to hear them programmed with such responsiveness. This is exactly what I like
If you can keep up the quality this will be great.Just wait till you see our ManyMore Soundset addons. I Plan on some cool things!
