Here's a slightly older track of mine, where I drifted a bit too much into ambient territory.

I thought you ambient-addicted KVR fellows would like this...

It's called "Zen and the City" and is available from:

(4th track in the list)

It's great. Maybe too much panning going on. I't distracting.
And the music's too cool to be distracted from it like that.
All in all, well done. I'll be listening to more of your songs.

I'll agree with jeffsanders, the panning does distract a little although sounds v. cool at the intro, but not a big problem overall.
good drumbeats, a tad too dry IMO, but again no big deal.

nice work
I enjoyed this

Thanks for the comments. You'd be surprised how the drums sound in the non-compressed WAV file.

just listening the second time to this song (which is 24 minutes then:-). This isn't really "ambient" for me, but anyway you said that yourself, I know those words are kind of important as a pre-selection, but otherwise often pretty useless :D .
This is an extreeeemely well-built song. I can't really say WHAT I like best here, but one thing is the way the no-drums and drums-parts are built. Wow. A really haunting song. Not long ago a whole, err, jazz-rock-band or something (see above :D ) would have taken pride in releasing this on their CD, but then they would have been 4 musicians or so... Simply haunting.
Compared to other songs of you which I know I see that you didn't use all of your pianistic skills, and that's just the way it MUST be in my opinion here, as these chords before the drum sets in at about 3 minutes would lose a bit if you had played like hell (well like you are able to).
As always music is a matter of taste, but anyone who likes styles that way, = listens to jazzy music, to minimal techno, to ambient and whatever the names are - did I mention that words are... - would love this one. Songs of this lenght can turn to be monotonous pretty easily, but not this one.
I can't remember having heard sounds and chords like at about 7'30 of you? Simply haunting and wonderful, all the more for a listener like me who likes weird stuff but sometimes melodies coming like from my old beloved Legendary Pink Dots and others.
