To your left you see Forum - Search. Request for "remove vocals", tick "all terms" and select the "everything else" forum. I found this thread:

My MusicCalc is temporary offline.

thanks cookie.. i had searched ... and got completely frustrated by the poor results.. i knew i'd read a thread recently though..

thanks again :D

i'm getting really frustrated trying to make the vocals go with the reverse phasing thing though..

2 mono tracks the same.. invert one of them...

but then they both cancel each other out .. all the material ..?

i'm missing something ..a brain .. obviously :D

The two tracks have to be the L and R channels of a stereo signal, because the theory is to remove the stuff that's common to both channels (ie, center-panned).

There's no way to remove the vocals from a mono clip, short of completely removing all frequencies in the vocal range.

Or substracting an instrumental version of the song from the original.

[EDIT]Sorry, I mean removing the acapella from the original.

...in which case you already *have* a version without the vocals, and the whole exercise is meaningless... :)

Yes, I got confused. I meant inverting the acapella and applying it to the original.

Now that's the funniest thing I have read all morning!

I am assuming that the original poster wanted to 'remove' the vocals, and use them (or parts of them) in another track!
