I just got this months CM magazine with the DVD...3,378 samples in this puppy, along with 100 free plugins. Also picked up the new FM magazine in which they're giving away a free beat rompler VSTi made in collab with Native Instruments. Can't wait to dig into that to.

The usual type samples, but a whole lot more of 'em. Smart move by CM.7thsense wrote:how are the 3378 samples? I just bought the issue that had 2020 samples, I think it was the previous issue. I liked the hits, though wish there were more.

The 'Future Loops' beat rompler is very cool. Kinda reminds me of Kontakt. Very futuristic sounding with alot of presets & loops.smart wrote:hows the beatrompler? any good?
So much music to create, so little time.

The Future loops rompler is usable but contains a lot of the samples and loops they have already given away over the years.

Where the f**k do you find time to preview 3,378 samples? Wouldn't that time be better spent doing other things musical?

I didn't even buy the CM issue with 3378 samples. I'm talking abou the Future Loops rompler that came with FM.

I'm pissed off with CM right now.
I used to buy it faithfully but now they just have a DVD edition I don't bother.
Why?
Cos I aint got a DVD drive so won't waste my money.
Maybe they still do a CD version, but my newsagent can't get hold of it saying there's only the DVD version available.
In my view, they've just alienated a whole bunch of readers.

Having said that, there was getting to be less and less reason to buy it anyway.

Why? Just to read a mag I'm less and less interested in anyway?
I'll buy one when I want to buy one, not cos CM say so!
