Just go the arrangement and click on the bar number you want to go. I agree though that a zero button and manual bar number entry would be good as well and we have that on the list.
But then jumps again to bar xxx using Chainer.
You should add a complete transport control.
We get your point. At the same time we're trying to keep complexity down and the sequencer/host already has transport controls. We'll definitely chew on it though.
Not everybody works like that... look at me ! ;)
3.) Jamstix should not start to play by default only after hitting play.
You know how many E-mails we'd get if we did that with the line "It don't play nothing! What's wrong!!" :?

How about we make it an option?
Yes, good one !
"Jam with audio", the slider sets itself to zero after some time and after a click on it jumps back to zero...
Do you mean it goes to zero even with audio signal present?
Yes
When there is NO audio/midi input Jamstix should also stop jamming after a few bars.
How about we make that an option?
Yes ;) Options are always good.
The timing slips more and more out of sync,
the longer Jamstix is running.
Untill it is totaly off time.
Just tested again with Sonar 4. Free jam for 39 minutes without any timing problems. What host are you using?
Chainer atm, but strange, now it does not slip since quite a while...

It looks always like it is set to intern.
Actually that happends with all those swtches,
after changing pages they show 'up'.
That's an odd one. Can't duplicate it here. Do the labels next to the switches still show the correct highlighting?
First yes, later not anymore....
maybe also the possibility to change the out going
midi note numbers, this should be possible to be set by the user.
Does the key mapping not suffice for that?
Sorry I did not get the idea...
"Output", as I wrote before, your slider ranges are set quite badly.
Got it. We're working on that.
I see that you already changed 'the brain',
but now it feels to me like a boaring drumer,
without personality.(school boy drumming)
To be honest, I miss that wild drummer feel from v99c.
That drummer was too wild but he had style. :)

Now the range is too limited, even with all 3 sliders full up, its still the school boy....
A kind of "midi-mixer", that globaly alows the user to adjust the velocity of every sound used,
would be very helpfull.
That's what the velocity map in the mapping tab is for. Now I know it looks like too much work at first but hear me out: We found VSTis where the problem was not just the max velocity but the transform function across the whole spectrum of a sound. For instance, a hihat would be too loud but if you just multiplied a reduction factor you'd have it too low on the quieter beats.

The velocity map allows you to draw a free-hand response curve for the transform so you can have the normal response in the lower velocity section and the higher reduction in the upper section.
But now I miss some velo pre-sets, the draw is not so convinient. Pre-sets would help.
13.) "CPU", while ok when running external VSTi,
the CPU grows here up to 33% after hitting stop.
Can you tell me what VSTi that is and what CPU you have?
Plugsound Drums&Percussion VSTi,
P4 2ghz 780mb
Great work so far, now get the fine tuning right.
;)

We're on it. Just keep it coming :)
I will ! ;)

We will look into the problems you reported:
- velocity slider goes to zero during audio jam with signal present
- rocker switches show up position after tab change
- high CPU usage with Plugsound D&P
I see that you already changed 'the brain',
but now it feels to me like a boaring drumer,
without personality.(school boy drumming)
We did not change anything on that end from 099C to 099G. If you rip the complexity and accentuation sliders all the way up in free mode, you should get very wild drumming.
But now I miss some velo pre-sets, the draw is not so convinient. Pre-sets would help.
Got it. We'll put in on the list.

Transport works in MiniHost.
Also to load Chainer VSTi into MiniHost and then loading JS works.

I just wanted to find out how to make Jamstix stop drumming at certain points in a song. I've got Jamstix playing in keyWord Jam mode using RMIV internally. I'd like to stop Jamstix during the song breakdown etc.

Do I have to render to midi to edit the Jamstix drum track? I hope this is not the case.

Would it be possible to receive a beta that is not crippled if we have bought the pre-launch version? I'd love to use it in my music and I've already created some very nice drum tracks with it. Unfortunately it cuts out and won't render more than 4 bars to midi. :(

All up, no wild drumming here... :(
Very civilised drumming, a few more bass and snare drum hits not that much more happening here.

Use Arrangement swiches off after 1 bar when not in jam mode.
(I guess thats wanted)

You can record the MIDI out or save to MIDI file. Both functions are limited to bars 1-4 in the demo.

Unfortunately, we are doing all we can to get the full version ready for release on the 24th (for pre-order customers). Please be patient with us.

Works only in "manual jam" mode,
in the other two it light only up very shortly.

Any way you could send a screenshot of your jam tab and a quick MP3 or WAV of the audio to support@rayzoon.com?
Thanks!

i played with jamstix last night while auditioning dk+ ( which i bought with a group buy) this really is impressive. it reminds me of M an algorithmic sequencer from intelligent music from about 10 years ago. we need more like this. any chance of a group buy? also i'm not sure if it works with dk+ ...thanks in advance for helping out a newbie.

:hihi:

Very impressive plugin....
I played with it yesterday night and i could not stop listening to the "drummer" while clicking and changing the rythm part....

I promised to myself not to buy a VST i'm not sure to use....
I've just pre-ordered this one.... :D

Thanks a lot Rayzoon for the nice price.... (69 Euros !! :-o)

Thanks for pre-ordering!

Yes, the price is very low and the Euro-$ exchange rate helps, too :)

Hi Sean, thanks for your kind words!
We will have a group buy at some point during the year but likely not very soon.
