I just can't help thinking it looks too good to be true, prolly there is no velocity control so everything will be at the one volume

I eyed this thing for a long time and almost bought it. One review I read from a drummer who really seemed to know what he was talking about (I know I know), said that the unit was just horrible because it would falsly get triggered all the time. Like you're just drumming away but the mild shaking is setting off pads that you arn't hitting. He said he tried everything in the book to try to adjust the sensitivity, but nothing worked, he sold them and bought something in the $500.00 range and was 1000 times happier.
Oh and I've sorta forgotten, but it seems like the cheaper model, didn't have midi built in, or at least if it did it was somehow done through USB.

I've actually seen some pretty positive reviews of these (including a couple from seasoned drummers). They are available here in the states for about $100, but as stated earlier the cheap version does not have midi. There is a more expensive version (around $249) that has midi, but at that price you could just get an Alesis D4 or Roland Octapad and some trigger pads.
