Late to the thread, but...
Trust me on this. When you're old and wrinkled, pissing yourself daily and reeking havoc on the nurses, you'll still like the music you like today, and then some. It's like food. You're not likely to suddenly switch from steak and salad to liver and onions, unless you're no longer able to chew.
One of my best friends turns 67 this year, and he still rocks and enjoys some of the current musical offerings as well.
Bones is right. You'll prefer the music from your heyday, but some of the new music will get your attention as well.
And I've found the older I get, the more I'm interested in the music that came before me. The early 1900's have suddenly become fascinating musical grounds for me. I used to think it was shit, but now I see it in another light. So it's quite possible that, as we get older, we'll all be listening to Lawrence Welk and arguing over the atonal chord progressions of the accordion and how that should apply to modern music!
