Sonic Synth 1 bad patches

I've tried IK tech support and esounds tech support with no results.
I have SS1 and there are 2 patches that will not play:
001 Brass Section
Big Brass
If I choose them in either Logic 7, Cubase or Garageband, I get a never-ending spinning ball and then it crashes the app.
I've re-installed those two patches from the orig discs but still nothing.
Am I S.O.L with those two patches? or anyone else have this problem?
is there a download fix?

Are you using SampleTank1 or SampleTank2? There are some known issues with some Sonic Synth (the original) instruments in SampleTank2 - there is a fix disc available with replacement sounds. Contact esoundz to have it sent to you.
In the meantime, don't use those sounds.
Forever,
Kim.

Thanks for the info Jeez.
I'm using STLe2. Hmm Fix disc, eh? That would work.
I've emailed esounds and no reply.
I'll email them again.
Is there some secret knock I need to get to these guys?

It is the weekend. We work during the week although I try to pop in on weekends if I am not too busy (ironically I am busy but I am here anyway).
You can even try emailing both support@esoundz.com and shipping@esoundz.com and one of the two departements will coordinate it for you. If they can just look up an order in esoundz of your original Sonic Synth then they'll just send you this disc for free (remember that the original Sonic Synth sounds were designed for ST1 - so we had no way of knowing then if they were going to be totally compatible with ST2). If you didn't purchase SS1 from esoundz then all you have to do is show some proof of purchase of your SS1 to them and maybe just pay for the shipping of the fix disc in that case. Still, very fair and we went back to do that work even after the product was discontinued. But, the group buy we did on it with ST2LE gave us good reason to do so (ie. customer satisfaction is top priority for us).
Incidentally, you also qualify for a discounted upgrade to Sonik Synth 2 which you can get from www.esoundz.com The price of that upgrade could be going up by the end of this month or sooner.
