Hi everyone. I thought it would be fun to have a thread for people who use Sampletank 2, Sonik Reality sounds and Sonar. If your out there, come on in and let us know what you like and what drives you nuts.

How would ST or SR be differnet in Sonar than in any other sequencer?

I use ST and Sonar and it seems to work fine here.

I use Sonar 3 and ST2.

I like both programs a lot, but it pisses me off that I have to keep the ST window open in order for loops to stay synced. :?

I've been a Cakewalk user since DOS version 2.0 (1987?). So of course I'm using Sonar now. Squids got me (as so many others) in his tentacles in the SS1 groupbuy. So since then I've upgraded to SS2 and today(!) Sampletank 2 XL was in the mail.
I'm very happy with Sonar - more power than I need, can't fault Sampletank LE or SS1 in any way - really nice, good sounds and easy to use. Haven't had time to really jump into SS2 yet (who has), so Sampletank LE with SS1& tends to be one of the first things to get into the rack. Can't say much on 2XL, I've barely opened the box yet...

I got into Sonar at Pro Audio 9, and I'm using Sonar 4 PE. I got into Sampletank through the SS1 Group buy, too. I then picked up SS2 and Sampletank 2 XL. I'm excited to get my Sonik Capsule sounds from the current group by to add to my library. I am drooling over Philharmonik.

I like the way the full version of Sampletank ties everything together into a library. One of my wishes for Sonar would be to have the synth rack dockable into the main GUI rather than a floating window. I seem to always lose it behind other things, and wish it had a home. It's nice to meet other users!!

Heh heh, I just figured out the other day how to automate ST instruments with envelopes in Sonar. All this time I've been using the "Insert Series of Controllers" command to do my automation, which is a totally ass-backward way to do things.
