The plugin-in information screne or the project browser shows which plugs are loaded and how many. There is no effect by effect cpu usage indicator as that information would only be valid from sample to sample during playback.

no difference between a plug and a instrument. How is the system supposed to know you just about to press 16 keys instead of only 1 key? Or, that you automated an oscillator on/off and are just about to kick 4 oscillators on? In other words CPU usage is just a real time thing.UvRayz wrote:How about VST Instruments? any information for their cpu usage?

I saw such a feature on a freeware vst sequencer (Psycle) - it was very simple: a list with all the open plugins with cpu percentage that is updated in real time.
The program does not need to predict anything, just report what is currently happening. exactly like the Windows Task Manager doesn't "know" anything in advance but still shows you information on each program's memory consumption.
